    摘要: An electrical connector assembly (10) includes a dielectric connector housing (34) having a cavity (36) extending longitudinally therethrough and a shield terminal (24) disposed within the cavity (36). The shield terminal (24) has an attachment portion (26) configured to receive a shield conductor (28) of a coaxial cable and a connection portion (38) configured to receive a cylindrical mating shield terminal (48). The connection portion (38) defines a first cylindrical sector (62) and a second cylindrical sector (64) arranged opposite one another. The connection portion (38) and the cavity (36) cooperate to put the first and second cylindrical sectors (62, 64) in intimate contact with, and apply a compressive force to, the mating shield terminal (48) when the mating shield terminal (48) is inserted within the connection portion (38).

    摘要: The contact pressure of a contact member with respect to a connection target can be prevented well from being reduced by a simple configuration. An electrically-conductive shell covering a surface of an insulating housing opposed to a surface facing a wiring board is provided with an intermediate connecting portion extended from a position in the vicinity of a fixed base portion of the contact member toward the wiring board, and the intermediate connecting portion is joined with the wiring board. By virtue of this, deformation such as warpage of the insulating housing and the electrically-conductive shell upon insertion of the connection target is suppressed by retaining force of the intermediate connecting portion, and reduction in the contact pressure of the contact member with respect to the connection target is configured to be prevented.
