摘要: High-density mapping catheters with an array of mapping electrodes are disclosed. These catheters can be used for diagnosing and treating cardiac arrhythmias, for example. The catheters are adapted to contact tissue and comprise a flexible framework including the electrode array. The array of electrodes may be formed from a plurality of columns of longitudinallyaligned and rows of laterally-aligned electrodes.

摘要: A method of determining a baseline impedance value for a first electrode in a plurality of electrodes located on a medical device for tissue contact detection includes measuring an impedance value of the first electrode generated in response to a drive signal to the first electrode. The method further includes assigning a baseline impedance value to the first electrode based on impedance values measured in a predetermined time interval and determining a confidence value associated with the baseline impedance value. The method further includes utilizing the baseline impedance value in determining contact status of the first electrode when the confidence value is at or above a predetermined threshold value.

摘要: The disclosed technology includes a fluid evacuation device for a balloon catheter including at least one spine having a curved proximal portion and a straight distal portion extending along a longitudinal axis, a first coupler coupled to the curved proximal portion of the spine to constrain at least one spine to move along the longitudinal axis, and a second coupler attached to the distal portion of the at least one spine so that in a first operational mode, the curved proximal portion of the at least one spine is expanded to a first outer profile and in a second operational mode, the curved proximal portion of the at least one spine is compressed to a smaller outer profile than the first outer profile such that the at least one spine moves the second coupler along the longitudinal axis.

摘要: The disclosed technology includes a medical probe comprising a plurality of spine members that form a substantially cylindrical structure. Each spine is stamped from a continuous piece of flat stock and heat-treated to a configuration including a first section extending along a longitudinal axis from a first end to a first bend, a second section extending from the first section curvilinearly with respect to the longitudinal axis and comprising a bifurcation point, and a third section extending along the longitudinal axis from a second bend to a second end so that a proximal portion of the third section is generally parallel to the first section. The second section comprises a continuous leg and a discontinuous leg. The continuous leg extends between the first section and the bifurcation point. The discontinuous leg extends towards the first section and terminates at a termination point between the bifurcation point and the first end.

摘要: Systems and methods for electroporation are provided. An electroporation system includes a catheter including a plurality of electrodes, and a pulse generator coupled to the catheter, the pulse generator configured to generate a waveform to be delivered using at least one of the plurality of electrodes. The waveform includes a first pulse having a first polarity, a first pulse amplitude, and a first pulse width, and a second pulse having a second polarity, a second pulse amplitude, and a second pulse width, wherein the first and second pulses are separated by an interpulse delay, and wherein at least one of i) the first pulse amplitude is different than the second pulse amplitude and ii) the first pulse width is different than the second pulse width.
