LDHs may also be altered by doping them with nickel to replace a fraction of the divalent metal present. Nickel-doped LDHs with exchanged anion composition may be useful as flame retardants, among many other possible uses including as antacids, drug-delivery systems, modified electrodes, polymer stabilizers, adsorbents, electro-photoactive materials, and catalysts or catalyst precursors.

The composition comprises an effective amount of a polycarbonate, a glass fiber, a polysiloxane-polycarbonate copolymer, and a synergistic combination of an aromatic sulfone sulfonate such as potassium diphenylsulfone sulfonate with an aromatic sulfonate such as sodium salt of toluene sulfonic acid, optionally in the presence of an anti-drip agent. The polycarbonate composition is useful for manufacture of electronic and mechanical articles, among others.

Disclosed is a resin composition for improving a whitening resistance in bending deformation. The flame retardant polypropylene-based resin composition with an improved whitening resistance in bending deformation according to the present invention includes a polypropylene-based resin, a polyolefin elastomer, a modified polyolefin elastomer grafted with polar groups and an inorganic flame retardant, wherein the polypropylene-based resin is included at a content of 5 to 50 % by weight of the total composition, wherein the polyolefin elastomer is included at a content of 0.1 to 50 % by weight of the total composition, wherein the modified polyolefin elastomer grafted with polar groups is included at a content of 0.1 to 30 % by weight of the total composition, and wherein the inorganic flame retardant is included at a content of 30 to 75 % by weight of the total composition. The resin composition according to the present invention may be used as a coating material of electrical wires, and therefore may be useful to minimize a whitening phenomenon in bending deformation without deteriorated physical properties such as tensile strength, tensile elongation, etc.

The flame retardant artificial polyester hair, which retains fiber properties such as heat resistance and a degree of strength and elongation and is excellent in suitability for setting, transparency and touch feeling, is characterized by being obtained by melt-spinning a composition obtained by melt-kneading a polyester together with a bromine-containing flame retardant, the bromine-containing flame retardant having a melting point of 160 to 320°C and a 5 % loss on heat temperature of 220 to 450 °C or the bromine-containing flame retardant being a mixture of a bromine-containing flame retardant (b1) having a 5 % loss on heat temperature of 220 to 310°C and a bromine-containig flame retardant (b2) having a having 5 % loss on heat temperature of at least 310°C.
