The present invention pertains to polynucleotides derived from staphylococcal genes encoding resistance to streptogramin A or to streptogramin B and chemically related compounds. This invention also relates to the use of the polynucleotides as oligonucleotide primers or probes for detecting Staphylococcal strains that are resistant to streptogramin A or to streptogramin B and related compounds in a biological sample. In another embodiment, the present invention is directed to the full length coding sequences of the staphylococcal genes encoding for resistance to streptogramin A or to streptogramin B from Staphylococcus and to the polypeptides expressed by these full length coding sequences. Further, this invention relates to the use of the expressed polypeptides to produce specific monoclonal or polyclonal antibodies that serve as detection means in order to characterize any staphylococcal strain carrying genes encoding resistance to streptogramin A or to streptogramin B.

The method is based on the precise determination of the localization of the replicating fork on the template by measuring the physical distance between one end of the molecule and the fork. This allows the determination of the physical location of the site where a pause or a blockage of the replication occurs, and deducing therefrom information on the sequence of the nucleic acid.

The invention relates to a fruit-based fatty stuffing or spread comprising a suspension of solid particles in a continuous fatty phase containing at least one sweetening agent in a amount lower than 45 wt %, less than 3 wt % and advantageously less 1 wt % of non fatty dried cocoa, and having a fatty material content of between 23 and 38 wt %, characterised in that it contains milk powder and/or dairy derivatives powder and/or dry starch and between 3 and 20 wt % of a fruit powder, the fruit powder having a D90 lower than 500 µm and a water content lower than 8 wt %, the content of (milk powder + diary derivatives powder + dry starch) being higher than 25 wt %. The invention further relates to a method for producing the fatty stuffing or spread and to the use thereof in a food product.
