The shock absorber comprises a damping cylinder (101), wherein the damping cylinder (101) is adapted to be telescopically arranged within the spring unit (1). The spring unit (1) comprises a hollow body (2) comprising at least one compression chamber (2b) and at least one additional chamber (3) arranged to be in fluid communication with the compression chamber (2b) such that at least a first flow of fluid (F1) is adapted to be allowed between the compression chamber (2b) and the additional chamber (3) when a threshold value is met. 摘要: The invention relates to a method in a shock absorber (1) of separating the adjustment of the damping characteristics for small or large pressure differentials over the main piston (7). Arranged in the shock absorber is a damping medium-filled damping cylinder, divided into two damping chambers (8, 9) by a main piston (7) fixed to a piston rod (8). At least one duct (38a, 38b) is arranged in the main piston (7) or in the piston rod (8) in order to allow a certain damping medium flow between the damping chambers (8, 9). Also connected to the shock absorber (1) is a pressurized member (23), arranged in a pressurization reservoir (22). The pressurized member (23) pressurizes a volume (22a), common to both of the damping chambers (8, 9), to a certain basic pressure, which varies between 5 and 30 bar. This common volume (22a) is connected by separate flow ducts (27, 27') to the respective damping chambers (8, 9). Two separate adjusting elements (17, 17') are arranged between the common volume (22a) and the respective damping chambers (8, 9). These comprise one or more damping force- generating one-way valve (s) (18, 20) of a type known in the art and a check valve (19, 21). The check valve (19, 21) is subjected to and kept in a closed position by a force (Fs). With small pressure differentials over the main piston (7), the damping medium is prevented from flowing between the damping chambers (8, 9) via the adjusting elements (17, 17') but is forced to flow through the duct (38b) in or on the main piston.

The device comprises a steering damper (4) comprising a damping housing (4a) enclosing a main chamber which comprises hydraulic fluid and is partitioned into a first and a second damping chamber (C1, C2), for example by a delimiting part (11, 11') moveable in relation to the damping housing. The damping housing (4a) is fixed on an attaching part (5, 5') that couples together the part(s) (3) of the vehicle contacting the ground with the steering device (2). The present invention is characterized in that the flow of hydraulic fluid in the steering damper partly or wholly is adjusted by a main valve unit (HVU) that is coupled together with both the attaching part (5, 5') and the steering device (2). By means of this coupling the opening area (A1, A2) of the main valve unit is determined by a relative motion between the attaching part (5, 5') and the steering device (2) such that the flow of the hydraulic fluid in a direction from and to the respective damping chamber of the steering damper is controlled depending on the cause of the rotational movement. 摘要: A device for telescopic fork legs, preferably for a motorcycle or bicycle. The damping system comprises two damping system components that are both acted upon by the flow of medium created by the compression and expansion movements of the piston. The damping system components together form a compact unit in the form of a removable insert system, that comprises medium flow passages that are parallel in relation to each other and that run between the upper and lower sides of the piston. This insert system forms a compact unit that is simple to adapt to suit different front fork dimensions and to use as a kit for providing an existing front fork with parallel damping. Parallel damping achieves, for example, simple adaptation of the damping characteristics to different types of terrain.
