Abstract:
The present invention provides process for the preparation of polymers comprising at least unit of formula (1), which process comprises the step of (v) treating a compound of formula (5), wherein Y 2 is I, Br, CI or O-S(O) 2 CF 3 , with an S-donor agent, in order to obtain the compound of formula (4), wherein Y 2 is as defined for the compound of formula (5), a process for the preparation of a compound of formula (4) as well as compounds of formula (4).
Abstract:
The present invention relates to specific Ga-naphthalocyanine chromophores with short chain alkoxy axial substituents, their use as almost colourless IR absorbers, for optical filter applications; especially for plasma display panels, or for laser welding of plastics. The compounds may be used in compositions for inks, paints and plastics, especially in a wide variety of printing systems and are particularly well-suited for security applications.
Abstract:
Provided are compounds of the formulae la and lb, in which the variables R, n, A, B, R 1 and R 2 are each as defined in the description. Also disclosed is the use of compounds of the formula la or lb or mixtures thereof and/or isomers or mixtures of the isomers thereof as photosensitizers in solar cells and photodetectors. Solar cells and photodetectors comprising such compounds of the formula la or lb or mixtures thereof and/or isomers or mixtures of the isomers thereof as photosensitizers are also provided.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to the use of specific metal complexes of dithiolenes with aryl or heteroarylsubstituted imidazolidine-2-chalcogenone-4,5-dithione ligands as colorless IR absorbers.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for producing a liquid formulation of salts of sulphonic-acid azo dyes by the coupling of one at least equimolar quantity of diazotized amino aryl sulphonic acids of formula (I), H2N - Ar - SO3H, to the coupling product of a self-coupled phenylenediamine, which can be optionally substituted by methyl. In said formula, Ar represents phenylene, which can be monosubstituted by sulpho, or naphthylene, which can be monosubstituted or disubstituted by sulpho and/or monosubstituted by hydroxy. According to the method, the azo dye is dissolved in a basic solution and the mixture is then subjected to a nanofiltration.
Abstract:
A description is given of the use of naphthalene-1,8-dicarboxylic monoimides of the formula (I), in which R1 is hydrogen, alkyl, alkenyl, cycloalkyl, cycloalkenyl, heterocycloalkyl, aryl or heteroaryl and R2 is a radical containing at least one π electron system containing a carbon atom and at least one further atom selected from carbon, oxygen, and nitrogen, with the proviso that the radical contains at least one atom other than carbon; to protect organic material from the damaging effects of light, of compositions which comprise at least one naphthalene-1,8-dicarboxylic monoimide of the formula (I) in an amount which provides protection from the damaging effects of light, and at least one organic material, and of new naphthalene-1,8-dicarboxylic monoimides (I).
Abstract:
