Described is a kit for producing a crosslinked gel for surrounding urinary calculi and/or fragments thereof, more particularly kidney stones and/or fragments thereof, comprising a composition (A) comprising one or more cationically crosslinkable polymers, and a composition (B) comprising one or more crosslinking agents for crosslinking the cationically crosslinkable polymer(s). The compositions (A) and/or (B) further comprise magnetizable particles, or the kit further comprises a composition (C) that comprises magnetizable particles. On contact between compositions (A) and (B) in a region of the urinary tract, more particularly the kidney, that contains urinary calculi and/or fragments thereof, more particularly kidney stones and/or fragments thereof, a crosslinked gel is formed that partly or fully surrounds the urinary calculi and/or fragments thereof, more particularly kidney stones and/or fragments thereof, and that comprises the magnetizable particles. The gel together with the urinary calculi and/or fragments thereof, more particularly kidney stones and/or fragments thereof, can then be removed from the body by using magnetic interactions.

Method for marking a target structure, comprising the steps of: a) providing a compound V which comprises at least one dihydroxy- or trihydroxyphenyl group, b) providing a means for converting the dihydroxy- or trihydroxyphenyl group into a quinone group, c) providing a target structure, d) oxidizing the dihydroxy- or trihydroxyphenyl group of compound V to form the quinone group, and e) establishing contact between compound V and the target structure, with the result that a covalent bond can be formed, characterized in that, in step e), compound V is used in a concentration such that the maximum concentration of dihydroxy-, trihydroxyphenyl groups and quinone groups which have been introduced by compound V is ≤500 µM, preferably ≤300 µM, more preferably ≤100 µM.
