    摘要: A valve system of an engine, wherein one end part of a first link arm (61) rotatably pivoted on an engine body (10) and one end part of a second link arm (62) rotatably pivoted on a displaceable movable shaft (68a) are rotatably connected to a rocker arm (63) having a cam contact part (65) interlocked and connected with an engine valve (19) and coming into contact with a valve cam (69) through first and second connection shafts (64) and (66). An oil supply means (58) supplying oil to the upper connection shaft (64) among the first and second connection shafts (64) and (66) is fixedly disposed on the engine body (10). Thus, the lift of the engine valve can be continuously varied, the size of the engine valve can be reduced while securing the follow-up capability of the opening/closing operation thereof, and smooth valve operation can be assured by a lubrication structure simply formed with less number of parts.

    摘要: One end of a first link arm (61) that is pivotally supported at the position where an engine body is fixed and the other end of a second link arm (62) that is pivotally supported by a movable shaft (68a) capable of being displaced are pivotally connected to a rocker arm (63). The rocker arm (63) has a cam contact section (65) that comes into contact with a valve operating cam (69), and the rocker arm (63) is interlinked and connected to an engine valve (19), urged in a valve closing direction by a valve spring (24), so as to apply a force in a valve opening direction. The rocker arm (63) is urged by a rocker arm urging spring (54), a spring different from the valve spring (24), in the direction where the cam contact section (65) is caused to be in contact with the valve operating cam (69). This causes the amount of lift of the engine valve to be continuously varied, and in addition, makes a valve operating device more compact while achieving excellent following ability, and can improve control accuracy of the amount of lift when the engine valve is slightly opened.

    摘要: When a shift-down mistake of a manual speed changer or other reason causes an increase in engine speed that may exceed an allowable speed, a valve moving device for an engine with a valve lift varying mechanism reduces a lift amount without changing an opening angle of a valve (19). A curvature of the vertex of a lift curve of the valve (19) is made smaller to reduce inertia force acting on the valve (19), so that irregular motion of the valve (19) can be prevented. Further, an increase in an intake air volume is prevented by the reduced lift amount of the valve (19) and engine brake is prevented from becoming ineffective, which reduce engine speed to prevent promotion of irregular motion.

    摘要: In a valve-actuating device, a rocker arm (18A) has a valve contact portion (15) in contact with an engine valve (6) and a cam contact portion (17) in contact with a valve-actuating cam (16). One end portion of each of a set of link arms (19A, 20A) is supported by an engine main body (1) so as to be swingable about an axis parallel to the rotation axis of the valve- activating cam (16). The other end portions of the set of the link arms (19A, 20A) are directly connected to the rocker arm (18A) so as to be relatively swingable about axes parallel to the rotation axis line. At least either one of the one end portion of each of both link arms (19a, 20A) is swingably supported by the engine main body (1) so as to be steplessly movable in a plane perpendicular to the rotation axis of the valve-actuating cam (16). This structure enables to make the valve-actuating device compact and to steplessly vary the amount of valve opening lift of the engine valve with excellent follow-up capability of the engine valve to the valve-actuating cam maintained.

The rocker arm (63) is formed such that the width of the valve connection section (63a), which width is in the direction of the rotation axis of the valve operating cam (69), is greater than the width of other portions. This structure enables the amount of lift of the engine valves to be continuously varied, and makes a valve operating device more compact while achieving excellent following ability of the engine valves in opening and closing operation.
