摘要： Technology for receiving streaming media content is disclosed. A media presentation description (MPD) for the streaming media content can be received at a user equipment (UE). A streaming interval can be selected for the streaming media content. A power consumption level can be calculated for receiving the streaming media content at each of a plurality of media content representations that are described in the MPD. A media content representation can be selected from the plurality of media content representations based on: the power consumption level associated with receiving the streamed media content at the media content representation; and power status information for the UE, using the one or more processors of the UE. The streaming media content can be received at the selected media content representation, at the UE, in accordance with the streaming interval. The streaming media content can be played at the UE.

摘要： Techniques related to adaptive bitrate streaming for wireless video are discussed. Such techniques may include determining candidate bitrates for encoding segments of a source video. A minimum of the candidate bitrates may be selected and a segment of the source video may be encoded based on the selected encoding bitrate. The encoded bitstream may be transmitted wirelessly from a transmitting device to a receiving device, which may decode the bitstream and present the decoded video to a user.

Coverage analysis circuit system (324) identifies a hole in a network coverage area partially based on one of the reports. A corrective action circuit system (326) executes an automated action of coverage optimization and capacity to reconfigure resources of a network cell based on the hole. An indication of whether at least a portion of the image data is video data or non-video data is provided. A first policy may be implemented for image data that is video data. The first policy prioritizes transmission of the image data over encoding image quality. A second policy may be implemented for image data that is non-video data. The second policy prioritizes encoded image quality over transmission of the encoded images.
