A novel compound, DC-107, with the following physicochemical properties: (1) Molecular formula: C22H26N2O6S3 (2) Molecular weight: 510 Found by high resolution FAB mass spectrum : 511.1041 Calculated for C22H27N2O6S3 : 511.1031 (3) Melting point: 160 DEG C (decomposed) (4) Specific rotation: [ alpha ]25_D = 140 DEG (c=0.1, methanol) obtained by culturing a microorganism belonging to the genus Streptomyces. It is useful as a medicine because of its antibacterial and anti-tumor activity.
