A stent (1) having a generally tubular body formed of annular units with a plurality of cells and extendable in a radial direction from the inside thereof, wherein the annular units (4) are formed by vertically connecting the plurality of cells (6) and a plurality of the connected cells are arranged so as to surround the center axis (C1) of the stent forming the tubular body, the annular unit is arranged in the axial direction of the stent, the annular units are connected to each other at least at one position through a connection part (5), the connection part is formed of a curved part (8) having two or more arcs and a generally straight part (7) continued to the curved part, the cells are arranged by three to eight units per 10 mm in length of the stent, and the ratio of the axial length (5L) of the connection part in stent axial direction to that (6L) of the cells in stent axial direction is set to 100 to 50 to 100, whereby a high flexibility and a radiation support force can be sufficiently assured and a vasodilating capability can be increased to suppress a fore-shortening and a flare event.

The stent ensures a high flexibility and radial support force, enhances the blood vessel expandability, and suppresses the foreshortening phenomenon and the flare phenomenon.
