摘要: The invention is related to a biodegradable stent for vascular placement comprising, a tubular biodegradable metal structure, a biodegradable organic layer covering the surfaces of the structure, and optionally a biodegradable polymer coating covering the organic surface layer. The organic layer is a derivative of a monomer vapor injected plasma and is applied in a plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition process. Thereby the biodegradable organic layer is an organosilane layer and the biodegradable polymer coating contains a therapeutic drug.

摘要: Methods for making collagen based biocomposite constructs and related devices include: (a) winding at least one collagen fiber a number of revolutions about a length of a support member having a long axis, the winding having at least one defined pitch and/or fiber angle relative to the long axis of the support member to form an elongate construct; and (b) applying a fluid polymeric material, such as, for example, an acrylate emulsion and/or other thermoplastic material, onto the collagen fiber during the winding step. Optionally, the fluid polymeric material can include antibiotics and/or other therapeutic agents for additional function/utility.

摘要: The present invention overcomes all the above drawbacks and provides a versatile method for the fabrication of multilayer hollow tubes that uses a layer-by-layer rod dipping approach using different biomaterials. The device enables fine control over fabrication parameters, such as ascending/descending speeds, rod rotational velocity, and crosslinking or polymerization time. All these technologies allows the generation of more complex multilayer hollow tubes such as vessel-like structures, urethral grafting, prostate grafting and the like.

The enclosure can, for example, allow a sense-response paradigm to be realized. The enclosure can, for example, provide immunoisolation for materials, such as living cells, retained therein.
