The first material (1) to be joined and the second material (3) to be joined are joined by a joining material (2) that forms a liquid phase at a temperature exceeding 800°C and lower than 1000°C and that is placed between the first material (1) to be joined and the second material (3) to be joined. The first material (1) to be joined and the second material (3) to be joined are joined by resistance heating and pressing at a pressure of 0.1 to 200 MPa.

In highly efficient cutting of a highly hard poorly cuttable iron based material, it is intended to promote residue of compression stress and inhibition of occurrence of any machining degeneration layer on a machining surface of material to be cut as compared with those by conventional cBN sintered body tools, thereby attaining prolongation of the fatigue life of machined parts and prolongation of tool life. There is provided a cBN sintered body characterized by containing cBN component in an amount of 60 to 95 vol.% and exhibiting a thermal conductivity of 70 W/m·K or higher, and characterized by having its outermost surface coated with a heat-resistant film of a compound of at least one element selected from among elements of Groups 4a, 5a and 6a and Al and at least one element selected from among C, N and O.
