Abstract:
A terminal device 102 includes a transmission/reception unit 306 that transmits, to a server device 101, information necessary for judgment as to whether to permit use of content. The server device 101 includes: a judgment unit 204 that judges whether to permit the terminal device 102 to use the content, based on terminal device management information set by a content provider, and the information necessary for the judgment and received from the terminal device 102; a notification data storage unit 203 that stores notifications to be presented to a user of the terminal device 102; and a transmission/reception unit 205 that transmits either information necessary for use of the content or one of the notifications according to a result of the judgment by the judgment unit 204.
Abstract:
The invention provides a recording apparatus and a reproduction apparatus that are able to prevent illegitimate use of contents. A recording medium stores therein a medium inherent number in the unrewritable area. The recording apparatus writes media key data and an encrypted content onto the recording medium. The media key data includes encrypted media keys generated by (i) for each of unrevoked reproduction apparatuses, encrypting a media key using a device key of the unrevoked reproduction apparatus respectively, and (ii) for each of revoked reproduction apparatuses, encrypting detection information using a device key of the revoked reproduction apparatus respectively. The reproduction apparatus decrypts the encrypted media key using a device key to generate a decryption media key, judges whether the decryption media key is the detection information or not, and prohibits the encrypted content recorded on the recording medium from being decrypted when having judged in the affirmative.
Abstract:
A file generating method according to one aspect of the present disclosure is a file generating method for generating an MP4 file, the file generating method including: step S11 of acquiring an original file made in a file format different from MP4; step S12 of acquiring a difference file including data that is not included in the original file; step S13 of acquiring a procedure file indicating a procedure for generating the MP4 fiile; and step S14 of generating the MP4 file by combining the data included in the difference file and data included in the original file in accordance with the procedure indicated in the procedure file.
Abstract:
[Object] To generate content in which it is possible to analyze a source of illegally copied content or the like, and make normal reproduction possible without a pause in reproduction in a reproduction device. [Solution] Content including an individual segment region formed of a plurality of variation data in which identification information different from each other is embedded and each of which can be decrypted by a different key, and a common segment region is used. The variation data is formed of a 6144-byte aligned unit. A reproduction device calculates a reproduction path by applying a device key, and selects an aligned unit corresponding to the reproduction path from an aligned unit configuring variation data in an individual segment region, and then, executes decryption and reproduction processing.
Abstract:
If playback devices are prohibited from playing back contents recorded in R media, there occurs a problem that it takes more time to manufacture commercial ROM media. Conversely, if playback devices are permitted to play back contents recorded in R media, there occurs a problem that copyrights might be infringed. In view of these, the aim of the present invention is to provide a content protection data processing system and a playback device capable of determine whether to permit playback of a content recorded in a recording medium, based on a medium type of the recording medium and a signature type of a signature attached to a program. This enables both the protection of the copyright of the content and the efficient manufacturing of commercial ROM media.

This enables both the protection of the copyright of the content and the efficient manufacturing of commercial ROM media.
