An apparatus and a method for performing a parallax control of a left image and a right image applied to display of a stereoscopic image are provided. The apparatus includes a left image transforming unit for generating a left image-transformed image by changing a phase of an image signal of a left image which is to be presented to a left eye in a right direction or a left direction and a right image transforming unit for generating a right image-transformed image by changing a phase of an image signal of a right image which is to be presented to a right eye in the left direction or the right direction. For example, each image transforming unit generates a differential signal by applying, to an input image, differential filter coefficients of coefficient series of opposite characteristics, and generates a parallax-controlled transformed signal using combining processing in which the differential signal or a non-linear signal of this differential signal is added to an original image signal. This processing achieves processing for, e.g., reduction or enlargement of a parallax range.

A disk-like recording medium is provided with recording tracks (TK), each of which includes recording sectors (SC1, SC2, ---, SCm). Each of the recording sectors includes a recording region (ARC) for control and a subsequent region (ARD) for writing data. The invention further deals with a disk apparatus using the disk-like recording medium. In the recording region (ARC) for control of the disk-like recording medium are provided a clock data pit (QB), a pair of tracking data pits (QA, QC) positioned inside and outside a track center line (KC) being separated at a predetermined distance from the clock data pit (QB), and a pair of traverse data pits (QD, QE) being separated from each other at a distance allotted depending upon the recording tracks (TK). In recording or reproducing the data using a light beam, the clocks are reliably reproduced under a stable tracking condition, and traverses can be counted.

Disclosed herein is a photographing device that comprises a plurality of light-receiving elements (8a to 8h), a plurality of vertical transfer registers (7a, 7b), a first drive-voltage applying electrode (3a, 3b), and a second drive-voltage applying electrode (1 to 2c). The light-receiving elements (8a to 8h) are arranged in a horizontal direction and a vertical direction. The vertical transfer registers (7a, 7b) transfers the electric charges accumulated in the light-receiving elements in the vertical direction. The first drive-voltage applying electrode (3a, 3b) are arranged parallel to the vertical transfer registers, for applying a drive voltage to a specific one of the vertical transfer registers. The second drive-voltage applying electrode (1 to 2c) is arranged perpendicular to the vertical transfer registers, for applying a second drive voltage to the vertical transfer registers at the same time.
