A mechanism for filtering torque fluctuations is interposed between a crankshaft of an internal combustion engine rotating about an axis of revolution (100) and a transmission housing. This mechanism comprises a member to be dampened (14, 114, 214, 15) rotating about an axis of revolution (100), an oscillating flywheel (22, 122, 222) rotating about the axis of revolution (100) relative to the member to be dampened (14, 114, 214), and articulated modules (26, 126, 226) allowing angular displacement of the oscillating flywheel (22, 122, 222) relative to the member to be dampened (14, 114, 214) to either side of a position of equilibrium. The articulated modules (26, 126, 226) each comprise at least one oscillating arm (26.1, 226.1) that pivots radially relative to the member to be dampened and a driving member (26.4, 226.4, 26.40) between the oscillating arm (26.1, 226.1) and the oscillating flywheel (22, 122, 222), positioned such that when the mechanism rotates about the axis of revolution (100), the centrifugal forces on the oscillating arm (26.1, 226.1) generate a countertorque on the member to be dampened (14, 114, 214, 15) that tends to return the oscillating flywheel (22, 122, 222) and the member to be dampened (14, 114, 214) to the position of equilibrium. The countertorque increases with the rotational speed of the filtering mechanism and with the amplitude of angular displacement. The filtering mechanism further comprises a primary member (12, 112, 212) kinematically interposed between the crankshaft and the member to be dampened (14, 114, 214), the member to be dampened forming a secondary member rotating about the axis of revolution (100) relative to the primary member (12, 112, 212).
