摘要: The invention relates to an internal combustion engine, in particular a spark-ignition engine, in particular of a motor vehicle, having a crankshaft, having at least one working cylinder (10) which, together with a piston and a cylinder head, forms a combustion chamber, and having a cylinder head which, with a side facing towards the combustion chamber, defines a combustion chamber plane arranged perpendicular to a central longitudinal axis of the working cylinder (10), wherein each working cylinder (10) is assigned in each case one inlet duct (12) with an inlet valve (13) which selectively connects the inlet duct (12) to the combustion chamber, an outlet duct (14) with an outlet valve (15) which selectively connects the outlet duct (14) to the combustion chamber, an ignition device (16) which projects into the combustion chamber and a fuel injector (18) which projects into the combustion chamber, wherein a y direction (20) is aligned parallel to a longitudinal axis of the crankshaft, that is to say in the longitudinal direction of the internal combustion engine, an x direction (22) is aligned perpendicular to the y direction (20) and parallel to the combustion chamber plane, that is to say in the transverse direction of the internal combustion engine, and a z direction (24) is aligned perpendicular to the x direction (22) and to the y direction (20), wherein points of intersection of respective central axes of the inlet valve (13) and of the outlet valve (15) with an x-y plane, which is spanned by the x direction (22) and the y direction (20) and which lies in the combustion chamber plane, are arranged diagonally opposite on a first combustion chamber diagonal (26) which lies in the combustion chamber plane, and points of intersection of respective central axes of the ignition device (16) and of the fuel injector (18) with the x-y plane are arranged diagonally opposite on a second combustion chamber diagonal (28) which lies in the combustion chamber plane. Here, the fuel injector (18) is arranged in such a way that a longitudinal axis (30) of the fuel injector (18) encloses an angle ß (32) of greater than 30˚ with the x-y plane, and an angle α (34) of less than 30˚ with an x-z plane which is spanned by the x direction (22) and the z direction (24).

摘要: A mechanically controllable valve-train assembly includes a plurality of gas exchange valves, at least two cylinders assigned to each of the gas exchange valves, and valve-lift adjusting devices which each comprise a rotatable eccentric shaft. The eccentric shaft comprises at least one cam element and circumferential control surfaces which comprise at least one eccentric member. The eccentric shaft is driven by a drive device to set various valve-lift positions. A transmission assembly assigned to each of the gas exchange valves is mounted in a cylinder head via a bearing device so as to be movable and is operatively connected to one of the valve-lift adjusting devices and to a camshaft. The at least one cam element is operatively connected to a spring-loaded tappet element and is arranged outside the circumferential control surfaces and at a level of a zero-lift position of the circumferential control surfaces.

The pressure outlet (24) of the exhaust gas charger (18) is connected to the intake inlet (28) of the mechanically driven charge unit (20) via an on-off butterfly valve (26) and upstream of said on-off butterfly valve (26) to the intake pipe (32) via a load butterfly valve (30). The charge cooler (34) is integrated into the intake pipe (32) to give an intake/charge cooler module.

According to the inventive method for operating an internal combustion engine, the compressor is disconnected by fully opening the compression throttle valve and by separating a coupling between the compressor and the crankshaft, when the mass flow, which the exhaust gas compressor pumps as a result of an exhaust gas mass flow mabg, exceeds the pump volume of the compressor.
