A fully mounted reversible plough (10) which comprises: a headstock (11); a plough frame (12) having a plurality of pairs of reversible plough bodies (13) spaced apart along its length; and, means (14) mounting the plough frame (12) on the headstock (11) for rotational movement between two ploughing positions corresponding to left side ploughing and right side ploughing by the plough bodies (13) in order to reverse the plough bodies: in which: (a) the plough frame (12) is a two part frame having a short forward frame part (17) which is mounted on the headstock (11), and a long rear frame part (18) which is pivotally connected to the forward part (17); (b) at least a foremost pair of plough bodies (13a) is mounted on the forward part (17), and further pairs of plough bodies (13) are mounted on the rear part (18); (c) the forward part (17) is pivotally adjustable (19) with respect to the headstock (11) about an upright axis in order to set any required plough width W between all of the adjacent pairs of plough bodies (13, 13a); (d) the long rear frame part (18) is angularly adjustable about a hinge axis (20) relative to the forward part (17) between a ploughing position in which the rear part (18) forms a prolongation of the forward part (17) (Figure 1) and a rearwardly inclined turnover position (Figure 2) in which the overall width of the plough is reduced so that the forward and rear frame parts (17, 18) of the frame (12) can rotate as a unit relative to the headstock (11) in order to reverse the plough bodies (13, 13a); and (e) an adjustment mechanism is mounted on the forward and rear frame parts (17, 18) and is connected to each pair of plough bodies (13), said mechanism being operative in stepless manner to alter the ploughing width W between adjacent pairs of plough bodies upon pivotal adjustment of the forward part 18 relative to the headstock (11).

Conformément à l'invention la perche est constituée par au moins deux éléments (12) réunis deux à deux par une articulation (13) autour d'un axe (16), horizontal en position de travail de la charrue, avec des moyens (20-21) pour bloquer la ou lesdites articulations, l'articulation (13) étant de préférence réalisée dans la partie centrale (7) de la perche sensiblement au droit du groupe support à roues (8-10) de cette partie centrale. L'invention permet d'avoir un terrage des socs à peu près égal sur tous les socs malgrè la grande longueur de la charrue.

There is disclosed a semi-mountable plough comprising an elongate plough frame having a long forward frame section (1) carrying a plurality of plough bodies (2), a short intermediate section (3) pivotally connected to the rear end of the forward section (1), and a rear frame section (5) pivotally connected at its forward end to the rear of the intermediate section (3), with the plough being of a reversible type and the sections (1, 3 and 5) being pivotable relative to each other in a generally horizontal plane to take up new positions suitable for movement of the plough in a reverse direction. The rear frame section (5) is pivotable about a horizontal pivot (11) so as to follow any unevennesses in the ground, and an hydraulically operated actuator (18, 19, 12') is coupled with said rear frame section and is operative to urge the frame section to pivot downwardly about said horizontal pivot (11) and thereby maintain the plough bodies (21) carried by the rear frame section (5) at a required ploughing depth, and in that a hydraulic control circuit is connected to said actuator and includes a pressure regulator (20) to control the hydraulic pressure supplied to the actuator (12, 19, 12') so that a controlled biasing force is applied to the rear frame section (5) which maintains the required ploughing depth of the plough bodies (21), but which can be overcome so as to allow pivoting movement of the rear frame section (5) in order to follow the contour of the ground which is being ploughed.
