L'invention concerne un panier tubulaire (1) présentant un axe longitudinal (Δ), convenant pour le traitement thermique de produits conditionnés dans des boîtes, notamment la stérilisation desdits produits, ledit panier tubulaire (1) étant destiné à cheminer dans une installation de traitement, ledit axe longitudinal (Δ) dudit panier tubulaire (1) orienté à l'horizontal au cours du traitement thermique dans ladite installation, ledit panier tubulaire étant ouvert à ses extrémités pour le remplissage ou le vidage dudit panier tubulaire, ledit panier tubulaire (1) comprenant, d'une part, deux extrémités de guidage (2, 3) présentant chacune une paroi cylindrique (4), et d'autre part, une armature reliant de manière rigide lesdites extrémités de guidage entre elles, ladite armature étant constituée par une tôle cylindrique (5) de diamètre inférieur au diamètre des extrémités de guidage, à l'intérieur de laquelle peuvent être enfilées les boîtes, l'axe longitudinal desdites boîtes étant parallèle à l'axe longitudinal (Δ) dudit panier tubulaire (1), ladite tôle cylindrique (5) étant pourvue de lumières (6), chaque extrémité de guidage (2, 3) venant en recouvrement de ladite tôle cylindrique (5). Abstract:
A device for sterilizing products packed in cylindrical containers, comprises an elongate, essentially cylindrical housing and an essentially cylindrical rotor located therein which can be driven via a central shaft. The circumferential wall of the housing is provided on the inside with a helically running, raised rib. The rotor is designed as a cage consisting of a number of rings placed behind each other, the centre line of which coincides with the axis of the rotor, and a number of raised ribs fastened to the circumference of the rings parallel to the axis of the rotor. The outer edge of the ribs on the rotor is located near the inner edge of the helically running rib on the inner wall of the housing so that spaces are formed between the ribs for receiving the cylindrical containers. Within the rotor between neighbouring rings bracing elements in the form of pipes are provided to reinforce the rotor.

Die vorliegende Erfindung bezieht sich auf einen Rotationsfüller (1, 30, 40, 60, 70) für Behälter (2), insbesondere für Flaschen. Der Rotationsfüller weist ein Sterilisierkarussell (6) auf, das um eine Rotationsachse (3) drehbar ist und an dessen Umfang eine Vielzahl von Sterilisierköpfen (9) zum Sterilisieren der Behälter (2) angeordnet ist. Ferner weist er ein Füllkarussell (20) auf, an dessen Umfang eine Vielzahl von Füllköpfen (22, 80) zum Befüllen der Behälter angeordnet ist. Schließlich ist eine Vielzahl von Halteelementen (8) zum Halten und Führen je eines Behälters vorgesehen, wobei die Bewegungsbahnen (31) der Halteelemente wenigstens abschnittsweise mit den Bewegungsbahnen der Sterilisierköpfe und/oder der Füllköpfe korrespondieren, um die Behälter zu den Sterilisierköpfen und/oder den Füllköpfen zu führen. Der erfindungsgemäße Rotationsfüller zeichnet sich dadurch aus, dass die Rotationsachse des Sterilisierkarussells (6) im Wesentlichen mit der Rotationsachse des Füllkarussells (20) übereinstimmt, so dass die Umfänge des Sterilisierkarussells und des Füllkarussells im Wesentlichen zueinander konzentrisch sind.

The method and the apparatus according to the invention relate to pasteurization of products in a tunnel pasteurizer. In the application of heating systems comprising water/steam heat exchangers in the zones for heating of sprinkling water, the pipelines and the valves for controlling the water and the steam become very complex and vulnerable, and the number of analog valves for steam become equal to the number of heat exchangers as a minimum. Leakages in analog valves for steam are frequent after some time in operation. According to the invention, this problem is eliminated in that hot water is taken out under low pressure from a heating source (7) comprising a heat-insulated storage tank and a shared source of heat, where the water is circulating constantly, said hot water being supplied in a controlled amount directly to each zone (14b, ..., 14n), in which the products are to be heated, and the hot water in the unit being maintained at a temperature, which is substantially higher than the temperature of the sprinkling water in the zone having the highest temperature. A reduced consumption of peak energy after a failure of equipment has terminated as well as a faster reestablishment of the operational temperature is hereby achieved as compared to the methods known up to now.

A method of manufacture of a crumb coated food product comprising the steps of: forming an aqueous mixture comprising: a flour mixture comprising one or more flours, sodium bicarbonate, optional additives selected from processing aids, salts, colourants and, water; adding the mixture into an extruder; adding an aqueous gelling agent to the extruder; extruding the resultant mixture at a temperature greater than 100°C to form an extrudate; allowing the extrudate to expand to form a porous product; drying the product, and milling the dried product to form a crumb.

An apparatus for the heat treatment of a product, in particular a product contained within a hermetically sealed pouch or other plastic container, the apparatus comprising, a heating unit (T1, T2) to contain a product as product is brought towards a treatment temperature and pressure, a sterilisation unit (10) to contain product at a pre determined treatment temperature and pressure to sterilise product, and a cooling unit (T7-T9) to bring a product from said treatment temperature and pressure towards ambient; each unit being selectively sealable from another unit, the apparatus further comprising: a plurality of conduits (29, 32) carrying heat-exchange fluids allowing heat to be transferred between units; and comprising a heater (26), preferably producing steam, to supply heat to the apparatus; a heat-exchange unit (21) enabling heat energy to be transferred from one conduit to another; a hot well (28) to retain a reservoir of heat exchange fluid at the highest temperature required by the apparatus.
