摘要: An innovative biopsy needle system used in biopsies to obtain abnormal tissue from various organs for pathological examination is described. The difference with the needles currently used is that in the approach of the lesion a thin metal guide stylet is used, which approaches the lesion more easily with lower or even without complications. The puncture needle, of our proposal, consists of an outer cannula and an inner stylet. In our proposal the piercing needle shows a modification, its inner collar in its central position has a lumen along its entire length compatible in diameter with the diameter of the guide stylet. Thus, after the easy approach to the lesion by the guide stylet, the outer puncture needle, which carries the lumen inside with the stylet of the penetration needle may be forced forward and guided into the lesion. Then, by simultaneously removing the guide stylet with the stylet of the penetration needle, the sting of the piercing needle is released, forming a tunnel between the lesion and the outer space, through which a suitable pistol-type biopsy needle (GUN) passes to obtain the tissue biopsy.

摘要: According to one aspect of an exemplary embodiment of the disclosure, an imaging device or system (10), e.g., a mammography imaging system or device, includes a distance and location sensing system (201) on the imaging system (10) to provide accurate distance and position information from one or more sensing device(s) (200) constituting the system (201) that measure the elapsed time between the emission of the wave or radiation from the sensing device (200) and the detection of the reflected wave or radiation. Examples of the types of sensing devices include ultrasound sensing devices, MEMS radar devices and time-of-flight (ToF) sensing devices (206). The distance information can be employed to determine the relative positions to produce a distance map illustrating the position and shape of any objects (52) sensed within the zone by the sensing device(s), to determine the rate of change of the positions, i.e., the speed, of the objects relative to one another for use in controlling movement of various components of the imaging system, and to determine the shape of the object and changes in the shape of the object.

摘要: A living cell collection needle (1) is intended to collect oocytes or ova from a human ovary. The living cell collection needle (1) has a hollow needle (20) having a hollow body part (21), a hollow small-diameter front end part (22) extended from the hollow body part (21) toward a front end of the living cell collection needle (1), a tapered part (25) positioned between the hollow small-diameter front end part (22) and the hollow body part (21) and decreasing toward the front end of the living cell collection needle (1) in its outer and inner diameters, and a piercing cutting edge part (24) formed at a front end of the hollow small-diameter front end part (22); a hub (30) fixed to a rear end portion of the hollow body part (21) of the hollow needle (20); an inner tube (11) which is accommodated inside the hollow needle (20), whose front end is positioned inside the tapered part (25) or inside a front end portion of the hollow body part (21), and whose rear end portion penetrates through the hub (30) and is fixed to the hub (30); and a living cell sucking tube (41) connected to a rear end portion of the inner tube (11). A rear end of the hollow needle (20) is positioned inside the hub (30). The living cell collection needle (1) has a side tube (53) whose front end portion is positioned inside the hub (30) and communicates with the inside of the hollow needle (20) and whose rear end portion projects rearward from the hub (30) and is liquid-tightly fixed to the hub (30). A collection auxiliary liquid supply tube (51) is connected to the side tube (53).

摘要: A biopsy system is discloses that includes a percutaneous biopsy needle and an inner cannula. The percutaneous biopsy needle includes an internal passageway. At a distal end, the percutaneous biopsy needle includes an expandable section. A distal section of the internal passageway of the percutaneous biopsy needle, which corresponds to the expandable section, is tapered to enable the expandable section to expand and collapse as the inner cannula is positioned within and/or moves through the tapered distal section. The inner cannula may be configured to aspirate a sample from a location of interest within a subject's body and, in some embodiments, may cooperate with the distal end of the percutaneous biopsy needle in a manner that facilitates removal of the sample from the subject's body. Biopsy methods are also disclosed.

摘要: An interventional instrument (16) is inserted into a patient (14) to perform an interventional medical procedure guided by a medical imaging device (10). A trigger control (26) is activated. An electronic data processing device (30) is programmed to operate the medical imaging device to: acquire and display video (50) of the interventional instrument (16) inserted into the patient; detect activation of the trigger control; in response to the detecting, process a video segment (54) of the acquired video to identify a trigger image (60) as a frame of the video segment capturing a medical intervention event performed by the interventional instrument and a location (62) of the medical intervention event in the identified trigger image; and display a still image of the identified trigger image with a superimposed marker (102) indicating the identified location of the medical intervention event.
