摘要: A blood flow reducing assembly includes a catheter shaft and an expandable occlusion member assembled with the catheter shaft. The expandable occlusion member includes foldable protrusions. One or more manipulation members are connected to the foldable protrusions and operative to move the foldable protrusions closer to or further away from one other. Movement of the foldable protrusions modifies occlusion ability of the foldable protrusions.

摘要: An embolic coil delivery assembly is disclosed. The delivery system may include a tubular member having a distal portion, a proximal portion and a lumen extending therein. The system may further include a tip member secured to the tubular member. The tip member may include a distal portion and a bonding portion. The bonding portion may include a bonding surface. The system may also include an embolic coil releasably disposed within the distal portion of the tip member. The distal portion of the tubular member may extend over the bonding portion of the tip member. The bonding surface may be configured to mechanically interlock with the tubular member.

摘要: A device for a tissue channel includes a device frame, a shape memory polymer foam segment coupled to the device frame, and an attachment structure coupled to the device frame. The device frame includes a proximal structure, a distal structure, and an intermediate structure coupled to the proximal structure and the distal structure. The proximal structure is configured to collapse to fit into a delivery structure and expand to block migration of the proximal structure. The distal structure is configured to collapse to fit into the delivery structure and expand to block migration of the distal structure. The intermediate structure is configured to fit in the tissue channel upon device deployment. The shape memory polymer foam segment is configured to compress to fit into the delivery structure and occlude the channel. The attachment structure is configured to attach and detach the device from a delivery guide.

摘要: Methods and devices for removing a thrombus are described. The device includes an expandable cylindrical structure made of wires and a self-expanding permeable shell located at the distal end of the cylindrical structure. Methods and devices for treating a cerebral aneurysm are described. The device may include a distal self-expanding resilient permeable shell, a proximal self-expanding resilient permeable shell, and an elongate support member positioned between the distal and proximal permeable shells. The elongate support member may be rigid or may be a coil, such as an extension spring. The distal and proximal permeable shells may be made from a plurality of braided filaments, the shells having different pore sizes. The device may also be a braided implant with a force biasing component, such as a coil or generally circular extension, attached to its distal end.

摘要: A vasoocclusive coil is reinforced with a stretch resistant member to improve safety during retraction of the coil. The stretch resistant member is fixedly attached at one end to the vasoocclusive coil, and the other end of the stretch resistant member is detachably mounted to an elongated pusher member to allow for placement and release of the vasoocclusive coil within the patient's vasculature. The stretch resistant member may be formed from a therapeutic and/or bioactive non-metallic material to enhance the therapeutic properties of the vasoocclusive coil.
