摘要: An illuminated electrosurgical instrument comprises a handle having a proximal end and a distal end; an optical element having a proximal end and a distal end, wherein the optical element is adjustably coupled to the handle such that adjustment of the optical element moves the distal end of the optical element closer to or further away from the proximal end of the handle; an illumination element configured to generate light and coupled to the proximal end of the optical element; an electrosurgical tip extending distally from the distal end of the optical element; a smoke evacuation channel extending axially through the optical element from the distal end of the optical element to the proximal end of the optical element; and an electrical conducting element disposed around the optical element.

摘要: A first surgical instrument cooperates with a second surgical instrument. The first instrument comprising a needle having a form of a hollow shaft comprising an outer wall around an inner cavity, an interior of the needle providing a space for positioning the second surgical instrument coaxially to the needle at least partly inside the needle and movable with respect to the needle in an axial direction of the needle. A tissue analysis device comprising an analysis sensor to analyse non-removed tissue at a distal tip of the needle. The tissue analysis device is configured to provide a sensor signal representative of an analysed characteristic of the tissue, in particular for the presence of unhealthy tissue or cancer cells within the tissue.

摘要: A system for assessing safe fulfillment of a mission plan or flight plan by a pilot receives physiological pilot monitoring data sensed inflight while the pilot is executing a flight plan. The system correlates pilot monitoring data with specific flight operations performs a post-flight fatigue assessment of the pilot (e.g., a performance score with respect to the completed flight plan and/or an assessment of the current fatigue state of the pilot). The system adds the pilot's post-flight fatigue state assessment to an individualized pilot profile. On receiving a subsequent flight plan for fulfillment by the pilot, the system performs a pre-flight risk assessment based on all available information, e.g., a risk assessment with respect to the pilot's fulfillment of the flight plan as a whole and/or specific risk assessments corresponding to fulfillment of component flight operations of the flight plan.
