    摘要: An E-plane waveguide circulator for use in a high power microwave circuit is provided. The circulator has three or more waveguide ports intersecting at a junction, wherein the junction has an upper inner surface and a lower inner surface positioned in an opposing relationship to said upper inner surface. The circulator further includes at least one radial composite resonator positioned within the junction, the resonator being comprised of a composite made of a centrally disposed ferrite element and a solid dielectric layer disposed concentrically with and adjacent externally to said centrally disposed ferrite element. In use, a magnetic field source applies an external magnetic field to the radial composite resonator, the external magnetic field having a magnitude above the magnetic resonance associated with the radial composite resonator.

In certain embodiments the methods involve determining all feasible radiotherapy beam orientations free of collision for said radiotherapy device and said subject to provide a set of radiotherapy beam orientations; selecting from the set of all feasible radiotherapy beam orientations a subset of beams that meet treatment goals to be used in treatment of the subject to provide a selected beam set; calculating a navigation trajectory for the radiotherapy device to delivery said subset of beams to the subject where the trajectory is free of collision; and generating and writing instruction files to a tangible medium that can be executed by said radiotherapy device.

    摘要: Method and apparatus (DMS) for dosage management in radiation therapy planning and/or delivery. Images of a region of interest ROI are acquired at different times. A registration transformation is computed that deforms one of the two images into the other. A magnitude of the transformation is then computed based on a suitable metric. If the computed magnitude is found to comply with a pre-defined criterion, the transformation is used to deform a dose distribution map and compute, based on the deformed dose map, therefrom a new fluence map.

    摘要: Methods and system for facilitating rapid radiation treatments are provided herein and relate in particular to radiation generation and delivery, electron source design, beam control and shaping/intensity-modulation. The methods and systems described herein are particularly advantageous when used with a compact high-gradient, very high energy electron (VHEE) accelerator and delivery system (and related processes) capable of treating patients from multiple beam directions with great speed, using all-electromagnetic or radiofrequency deflection steering is provided; or when used with a high-current electron accelerator system of energy range more conventionally used in photon radiation therapy to produce much faster delivery of intensity-modulated photon radiation therapy, that can in both cases deliver an entire dose or fraction of high-dose radiation therapy sufficiently fast to freeze physiologic motion, yet with a equal or better degree of dose conformity or sculpting compared to conventional photon therapy.
