The present invention relates to a process for producing mixed oxide catalysts on the basis of molybdenum and bismuth oxides in which the precursor compounds of the components of mixed oxide catalysts provided in the form of a solution and/or suspension are subjected to a spray-drying with a specific temperature regime and the spray particles obtained in this way are then calcined to yield a catalytic active mass, and to the mixed oxide catalysts obtainable by this process and to the use of these catalysts in the partial oxidation of olefms, in particular in the partial gas phase oxidation of propene to acrolein and acrylic acid. The spray drying of the precursor compounds containing solution or suspension is performed in concurrent with a gas stream having a specific entrance temperature. Alternatively, when the main gas stream has a higher entrance temperature, an additional colder gas stream can be fed in downstream. The thus obtained mixed oxide catalysts give lower a maximum temperature in the hot spot of catalyst fixed bed when they are used in the partial gas phase oxidation of olefms.

This invention relates to a method of preparing multicomponent bismuth molybdate catalysts composed of four metal components and a method of preparing 1,3 -butadiene using the catalyst, and particularly, to multicomponent bismuth molybdate catalysts composed of a divalent cationic metal, a trivalent cationic metal, bismuth and molybdenum, a preparation method thereof, and a method of preparing 1,3-butadiene from a C4 mixture including n-butene and n-butane using oxidative dehydrogenation. According to this invention, it is possible to prepare catalysts having high activity for the preparation process of 1,3-butadiene only using four metal components as shown through systematic investigation of types and ratios of metal components, unlike conventional multicomponent metal oxide catalysts having a complicated composition of metal components.

Aliphatic alpha,omega-aminonitriles are prepared by partially hydrogenating aliphatic alpha,omega-dinitriles at an increased temperature and pressure in the presence of a solvent and a catalyst. The catalyst contains (a) a compound based on a metal selected from the group made up of nickel, cobalt, iron, ruthenium and rhodium; (b) 0.01 to 25 % by weight in relation to (a) of a promoter based on a metal selected from the group comprising of palladium, platinum, iridium, osmium, copper, silver, gold, chromium, molybdenum, tungsten, manganese, rhenium, zinc, cadmium, lead, aluminium, tin, phosphorus, arsenic, antimony, bismuth, silicium, titanium, zirconium and rare earth metals; and (c) 0 to 5 % by weight in relation to (a) of a compound based on an alkaline or alkaline-earth metal, provided that component (a) not be based on iron or iron and a metal selected from the group comprising cobalt, ruthenium and rhodium when (b) is a promoter based on a metal selected from the group comprising titanium, manganese, chromium and molybdenum. Moreover, when component (a) is a compound based only on ruthenium or on rhodium, ruthenium and rhodium, or nickel and rhodium, promoter (b) may be dispensed with.
