A polymer clay "cane" extruder that is comprised of a solid rod (18) and a hollow tube (16) that is made of acrylic. The tool is used for cutting polymer clay slices of various uniform and consistent shapes, which includes cylindrical, square, and triangular shapes. This tool gives uniform shape and size to each slice of polymer cane when compressed and extruded, which holds its shape and aids in cutting uniform slices of the clay "canes" with little to no distortion. It does not require any excessive force for cutting canes. A polymer clay "cane" extruder is very useful for making canes that are used in jewelry articles, such as beads, pendants, bracelets, and neckpieces and/or other arts and crafts related projects.

A method for producing a laminated product including applying a slab product to at least one surface of a substrate, the method including placing the substrate onto the slab material when the slab product is in a semi set partially cured state, then allowing the laminated product to cure. Preferably the slab is cement based and the substrate is a masonry product, already manufactured and cured, eg tiles, mosaics, bench tops. The method may alternatively cast a cementitious slab first, and then when that is partially cured pour the cementitious substrate onto it, then cutting the whole assembly into smaller pieces while the whole assembly is still in a partially cured semi set state.

The invention relates to a ceramic particle mixture containing, as components, a predominant portion by weight of frittable particles made of a ceramic material and particles of at least one additive, at least one additive being a dispersed absorbent solid inorganic material which has, for a laser beam emitted at a predetermined wavelength, a specific absorptivity that is greater than the absorptivity of the other components of the ceramic mixture, and which drastically breaks down when gas is emitted in the presence of the laser beam, said additive being present in proportions of less than 5% of the dry weight.
