The material may be crushed and graded and used in a ratio of 6:1 with the cement component. A preformed foam may be used to obtain a high void volume and a placticiser added to improve fluidity. The foam concrete is manufactured on-site on a continuous basis using a mobile concrete making vehicle (1) having an elongate tubular mixer (4) into which the components are introduced at selected points (20A,20B,20C) along its length, so as to control the final composition of the mix. The foam injection body defines a slurry passageway and a port passageway having a port opening in fluid communication with the slurry passageway. The first and second port inserts respectively define first and second foam passageways having first and second orifice sizes. The first and second orifice sizes are different. The first and second port inserts are adapted to removably mount to the foam injection body such that the respective foam passageway is in fluid communication with the slurry passageway via the port opening of the port passageway. One port insert can be replaced with another to readily vary the pressure of the foam passing through the particular port insert and injected into a cementitious slurry traveling through the slurry passageway.

The invention relates to a method for producing foaming materials with an inorganic base, especially a phosphate base. Said materials consist of at least two aqueous, essentially inorganic constituents A and B. The aim of the invention is to provide a means of conveying and exactly mixing two or more constituents to a large extent continuously, said constituents reacting to form a solid material, especially a light material. To this end, the two components A and B are each fed to different vessels (9) or are produced in said vessels and continuously conveyed through lines to a mixing device (6) where they are mixed within a period of a few seconds. The mixed material is discharged within a few seconds, whereupon the two components A and B react with each other.
