A method for separating materials of various type having different softening temperature values, includes pouring a mixture of flakes and fragments of materials on a movable receiving and conveying device in a uniformly distributed manner and advancing it along a first portion of path; actuating an electromagnetic inductor to heat an outer metal surface by electromagnetic induction, which surface is included in the movable receiving and conveying device to achieve a first lower softening temperature corresponding to a first material of the mixture; subjecting the mixture to a separating action during which a first fraction, remains stuck to the outer metal surface, whereas a remaining second fraction of materials having higher softening temperatures than the first softening temperature freely slips by gravity towards a lower receiving zone.

Selon un procédé permettant de séparer des constituants thermoplastiques à partir d'un flux mélangé et de trier différents types de matières thermoplastiques, procédé selon lequel des constituants thermoplastiques sont ramollis par chauffage sélectif, il est suggéré que les constituants plastiques ramollis dans des plages de températures définies en fonction des différents types, soient fixés sur des corps de séparation qui pénètrent dans les surfaces ramollies des constituants plastiques ou qui passent à travers, et qu'ensuite, ils soient enlevés des corps de séparation. Removal of resin residue from backing sheet Residual thermally softenable resin remaining from application of a temporary coating layer to a surface of a sheet material, which resin has a minimum viscosity at an elevated temperature, is removed from the surface by: (a) directing a non-contact heat source towards the surface so as to heat and reduce the viscosity of the residual resin on the surface, and (b) removing heated residual resin from the surface. The sheet material is preferably release coated paper, which can be reused after removal of the residual resin as a temporary backing layer in the production of reinforced composites.

According to a process for separating thermoplastic components from a mixed stream and sorting different types of thermoplastics in which the thermoplastic components are softened by selective heating, it is proposed that plastic components softened in temperature ranges defined according to type be fixed on separating bodies penetrating or transpiercing the softened surfaces of the plastic components and then removed from the separating bodies. Sorting is accomplished by at least one conveying separating body (4, 14 to 16) having a flat or curved surface fitted with structures (10, 11) to penetrate or transpierce the softened surfaces of the plastic components (23 to 26) and to maintain the plastic components on the separating body, and a device (5) (doctor blade) to remove the plastic components secured to the separators after they have been removed from the mixed stream.
