The invention relates to a blow-moulded fuel tank (10) having a heat shield (20) which is fixedly joined to the fuel container. The positive fit between the heat shield and fuel container is achieved by integrating by moulding claw-like protrusions (26) of the heat shield. Said protrusions are preferably created by introducing rectangular perforations (24). To produce the fuel tank with integrated heat shield provided for in the invention a premoulded heat shield presenting claw-like protrusions is inserted into a blow mould. When the fuel tank container is blow-moulded said protrusions are fully embedded in the plastic, resulting in a positive fit.

There is disclosed a process for manufacturing an in-mould labelled article, the process comprising the steps of: placing a label comprising a polyvinylidene chloride coated film (15) into a mould for injection moulding, thermoforming, or blow moulding; holding the label in position; injecting a polymeric melt into, or thermoforming or blowing a polymeric preform in said mould so as to bind with the label; and removing the article from the mould. A process of in-mould labelling using a label comprising a polyvinylidene chloride coated film is also disclosed.
