摘要: A tread (1) for a heavy goods vehicle tyre, having a total width W and being provided with two main circumferential grooves (2) dividing the tread (1) into a middle region (M) and two side regions (B) axially to either side of the middle region, the middle region (M) having an axial width Lm of between 45% and 70% of total width W, the hollow rate by volume of the tread in new condition is less than 17%, said hollow rate being the ratio between the total hollow volume and a total volume including all hollow spaces and assessed between the rolling surface in new condition and an inner surface extending parallel to the rolling surface in contact with the bottoms of the main grooves (2), the middle portion comprising a plurality of transverse incisions (6), the depth of which is at least equal to the depth of the main grooves (2) and opening into these grooves, this tread (1) being such that the middle region has a hollow rate by volume that is less than half the total hollow rate by volume of the tread, and at least one continuous circumferential channel is formed under the rolling surface in new condition, in order to appear after partial wearing of the tread.
