A safety tire with relatively even temperature distribution in the tire and an air bladder used for it are provided by smoothly flowing air filled in the tire over the entire tire inside in the air filled state even when an air bladder is housed in a tire. A safety tire 1 is provided with a tire 2 and an air bladder 3 in the hollow toric shape. In the air-filled state, a cavity S 1 is formed between the outer surface 8 of the air bladder 3 and the inner surface 9 of the tire 2. In the runflat state, the air bladder 3 is inflated and deformed to take over load support from the tire 2. The air bladder 3 has a raised portion 12 on a specific outer surface area A so as to form a flow passage 13 through which air can flow between the rim and the air bladder. The raised portion 12 has on the side face a rigid reinforcing portion 15 whose width is gradually increased from the top face 14 side to the flow passage 13. The ratio of the flow passage 13 to the specific outer surface area A is in the range of 50 to 95% by area ratio.

A rubber-fiber composite material of the present invention comprises a non-woven fabric and a rubber which coats the non-woven fabric. At least a part of the non-woven fabric is made of an organic fiber having a single fiber diameter of 10 to 35 µm, a fiber length of 30 to 100 mm and a tensile modulus of 50 GPa or higher. By the use of the non-woven fabric at least a part of which is made of the organic fiber having the above properties, a sufficient impregnation of rubber into the inside of the non-woven fabric is ensured to enable the production of the rubber-fiber composite material having a high stiffness. Using the rubber-fiber composite material of the present invention as the reinforcing material for rubber articles, the resultant rubber articles have enhanced stiffness, improved durability and reduced weight.

The tube material 2' extrusion-molded by the extrusion molding machine has an air chamber peripheral wall 3i, a sealant chamber peripheral wall 3o and a partition wall 4. An air chamber 5 is defined between the air chamber peripheral wall 3i and the partition wall 4, and a sealant chamber 6 is defined between the sealant chamber peripheral wall 3o and the partition wall 4. On the air chamber peripheral wall 3i are protrusively formed a plurality of rib-shaped projections 15 each forming a thick portion for reinforcement. The thickness t 3 of each of the projections is approximately equal to the thickness t 1 of the peripheral wall 3 and the thickness t 2 of the partition wall 4. It is possible to efficiently extrusion-mold the tube material 2' having the thick portions for reinforcement by thus approximately equalizing the thickness of each part of the tube material 2 including the rib-shaped projections 15.

An air tube (12) of elastomer material for tyres is described, which is divided into at least two parts by an internal wall (19) extending in the equatorial plane and delimiting a central core (20) and two sidewalls (21) in said air tube. The core is formed of the above wall from the ends of which two flanges (22, 23) issued perpendicularly to the wall itself issue perpendicularly to the partition itself, in opposite directions, over a predetermined length; the flange and sidewall ends are associated with each other by vulcanization and the core rigidity is greater than the sidewall rigidity. The air tube performs the function of supporting the tyre not only during normal running but also under deflated conditions, as in the case of a puncture in one of the two air tube parts, for example. In particular, the air tube is advantageously used with 'low-section' tyres (1) as it has such features that it expands within the available space between the tyre and related mounting rim.
