Abstract:
This invention relates to a lyocell material for a cigarette filter and a method of manufacturing the same, wherein the lyocell material which is biodegradable and eco-friendly can be manufactured by crimping lyocell multifilaments to thus obtain a crimped tow.
Abstract:
Flame resistant fabrics are formed by warp and fill yarns having different fiber contents. The fabrics are constructed, for example, by selection of a suitable weaving pattern, such that the body side of the fabric and the face side of the fabric have different properties. The fabrics described herein can be printable and dyeable on both sides of the fabric and are suitable for use in military and industrial garments. Methods of forming flame resistant fabrics, and methods for forming garments from the fabrics, are also described.
Abstract:
A multi-layer woven or kitted fabric exhibiting reversibly changeable air permeability which contains reversibly crimping cellulose acetate fibers exhibiting a percentage of crimp of less than 10 % at a humidity of 95 % or above and a percentage of crimp of 20 % or above at a humidity of 45 % or below and which has a basis weight of 100 to 350 g/m2. When the water content of the fabric is enhanced by the absorption of water or moisture, the air permeability of the fabric increases to inhibit in-clothes stuffiness or stickiness due to sweat and in-clothes temperature rise, while when the fabric has discharged the water into the outside environment, the air permeability of the fabric decreases to the original one to prevent the body temperature from lowering excessively because of the heat of vaporization and thus keep the in-clothes environment comfortable.
Abstract:
A union fabric comprising 6 to 60% by weight of a polyester fiber (A), 35 to 85% by weight or a halogen-containing fiber (B), and 5 to 55% by weight of a cellulose fiber (C) in which fabric the warp comprises weaving yarn containing the polyester fiber and the weft comprises flameproof chenille yarn and other weaving yarn, with the chenille yarn containing 10 to 70% by weight of halogen and 1 to 35% by weight or a flame retardant consisting of a metal compound, and in which fabric the content of the warp-constituting weaving yarn containing the polyester fiber is 20 to 40% by weight and those of the weft-constituting flameproof chenille yarn and the wefl-constituting other weaving yarn are 35 to 70% by weight and 10 to 45% by weight respectively. This union fabric is excellent in design, texture, comfortableness in use.
Abstract:
This woven/knit fabric contains composite yarn comprising a multifilament yarn A2 and a multifilament yarn B2, which satisfies the following conditions (1) to (3): (1) the ratio (WA2/DA2) of the yarn length of the multifilament fiber A2 during absorption of moisture and humidity (WA2) to the yarn length of the multifilament yarn A2 under conditions of 20°C and 65% humidity (DA2) is 1.02 to 1.30; (2) the ratio (WA2/DB2)of the yarn length of the multifilament yarn A2 during absorption of moisture and humidity (WA2) to the yarn length of the multifilament yarn B2 under conditions of 20°C and 65% humidity (DB2) is 0.9 to 1.1; and (3) the drying shrinkage stress (DS value) of the multifilament yarn A2 is 0.08 cN/dtex or more.
