Das Zylinderkurbelgehäuse ist derart konzipiert, dass der Alu-Triebwerksblock wesentlich der Kraftverteilung zwischen Zylinderkoop und den Kurbelwellen-Lagerdeckeln dient sowie der Kühlwasserführung, wobei das Magnesium-Gehäuse frei von einer Kühlwasser-Führung überwiegend der Schmierölführung dient und im übrigen zur anteiligen Versteifung gegen Biegeund Torsionsbelastungen entsprechend durchgebildet ist.

A cylinder liner or a cylinder block's bore portion formed of a composite alloy material reinforced with fibers and dispersed with ceramic particles. In the cylinder liner or the bore portion of the cylinder block, ceramic particles and alumina short fibers are uniformly dispersed in a light metal matrix. For producing the cylinder liner and the cylinder block, a preform having a shape identical with the cylinder liner or the bore portion is produced by mixing together the ceramic particles and the alumina short fibers. Molten light metal is infiltrated into voids of the preform during casting.

Während das Gehäuse aus einer preisgünstigen Aluminium-Legierung mit 3% - 12% Silizium und 3% - 5% Kupfer, z.B. G-AISi9Cu3 besteht, werden die Zylinderlaufbuchsen aus einer übereutektischen Al-Legierung, z.B. AISi17Cu4Mg hergestellt.

La présente invention est relative à des chemises de moteurs à explosion ou à combustion interne à base d'alliages d'aluminium-silicium et de grains de silicium et leurs procédés d'obtention. Elle est caractérisée en ce que ces grains sont soigneusement calibrés et dispersés dans la matrice d'alliage. Ces chemises peuvent également contenir au moins un composé intermétallique tel que le Ni3Sn par exemple. Ces chemises sont obtenues par filage ou frittage d'un mélange de poudres. L'invention trouve son application notamment dans l'industrie de l'automobile et dans tout genre d'industrie où on cherche à disposer d'ensembles chemise-piston de bonne compatibilité à partir d'alliages d'aluminium.

The invention relates to a cylinder crankcase (1) for an internal combustion engine, into which crankcase a one-piece cylinder jacket system (9) is diecast, said system comprising at least two cylinder jackets (5, 6, 7) that are arranged in a row and that are interconnected via webs (2, 3, 4). The aim of the invention is to provide a cylinder crankcase which can be produced at low cost and which comprises a cylinder jacket system that can be subjected to high thermal and mechanical stresses. According to the invention, a lateral face of the cylinder jacket system (9) has a rough structure and is surrounded by a diecast outer casing (26). Respective coolant passages (14, 15, 16) having openings (31, 32) for supplying and discharging the coolant are formed into the webs (2, 3, 4), at least one opening (32) extending through the outer casing (26) into the recess (25) for the water cooling jacket.

The cylinder bore section is formed of eutectic or hyper-eutectic aluminum alloy. Additionally, a hard carbon thin film is coated on the sliding section of the piston and contains hydrogen atom in an amount of not more than 1 atomic %. Here, the lubricating oil contains at least one selected from the group consisting of ashless fatty acid ester friction modifier, ashless aliphatic amine friction modifier, polybutenyl succinimide, derivative of polybutenyl succinimide, zinc dithiophosphate, and derivative of zinc dithiophosphate.
