The invention discloses a three-layer composite self-lubricating sliding bearing with modified polyimide anti-wear layer, wherein a porous spherical bronze powder layer is sintered on a surface of a steel plate, characterized in that a self-lubricating sliding bearing sheet is formed by covering the porous spherical bronze powder layer with a modified polyimide anti-wear material layer, and then the self-lubricating sliding bearing sheet is manufactured into an article of sleeve-shaped sliding bearing or bearing bush or thrust washer or sliding-board or friction disc or ball seat structural part according to conventional processes. The process for manufacturing the same includes: preparation of a modified polyimide paste; sintering of spherical copper powder; preparation; coating; sintering of the modified polyimide; finish rolling; cutting and forming. The product of the invention possesses excellent performances of high stiffness, high strength, high-temperature resistance, and lead-free, and is especially applicable for the sliding bearings with heavy loading, variable loading and high PV value.

The laminate sheet includes an exposed surface corresponding to a second surface of the load bearing substrate. The blank includes cut edges having a load bearing substrate portion. The method further includes forming a semi -finished bushing from the blank, and applying a corrosion resistant coating to the exposed surface and the load bearing substrate portion of the cut edges to form the corrosion resistant bushing.

An inner race (1), an outer race (2), and balls (3) as bearing parts are each a bearing part made of JIS standard SUJ2 and having a carbonitrided layer formed in a surface thereof, wherein, after heat treatment at a heating temperature of 500°c for a retention time of one hour is performed, a Vickers hardness at a position with a depth of 30 µm from the surface is higher than a Vickers hardness at a core portion, which is a region where the carbonitrided layer is not formed in a thickness direction of the bearing part, by not less than 130 HV.
