In this way, operation of the one or more electromagnetic controllers can magnetize the magnetorheological substance to vary the viscosity of the oil phase, thus changing the degree of damping that can be provided by the passive heave compensator.

    摘要: In a window covering system and a window covering control apparatus thereof, the window covering control apparatus comprises a driving module, a damping output module, and a damping control module. The damping output module and the driving module are configured to operate simultaneously. The driving module may drive the damping output module to provide damping to the driving module. The damping control module comprises a control detecting unit and a fitting unit. The control detecting unit comprises a detecting portion and a stopper portion, which are detachably engaged. During an expansion of a covering material, the driving module drives the damping output module to provide damping to the driving module; when the stopper portion is driven apart by the detecting portion from the fitting unit, the driving module operates independently of the damping output module to stop the damping output module from providing damping.

    摘要: An energy storage system comprises a housing and a flywheel having a drive shaft portion attached to a cylindrical ferromagnetic rotor portion. The drive shaft portion defines a substantially vertical axis about which the rotor portion is mounted for rotation. A magnetic bearing assembly comprised of an annular permanent magnet having no electromagnetic components is mounted on the housing in stationary centered relation about the vertical axis above the rotor portion so as to attract the rotor portion axially upwardly towards a lower face of permanent magnet, thereby supporting a significantly high portion of the weight of the flywheel. At least one low friction mechanical bearing assembly is mounted within the housing about the drive shaft portion to provide radial positioning of the rotor portion and to limit at least upward axial movement of the rotor portion in relation to the lower face. The annular permanent magnet overlies a portion of the end face of the rotor with the balance providing a return path for magnetic flux.

Such a rotating device as above can be used as for example, a flywheel energy storage system when the rotating plates are used as flywheel disks and rotated at high speed to store rotational energy of the flywheel disks.
