摘要: The present invention provides a submersible data center vessel that is towed to its operating site, moored to anchors on the ocean floor and connected to an appropriate power generating system. The vessel is then submerged to its recommended operating depth while preferably still allowing air exchange and service crew access to the vessel interior. In the event of extreme weather/sea conditions, the vessel can be submerged deeper for the duration of the extreme conditions and out of range of harmful wind and wave forces. The subsurface vessel is preferably powered by a renewable energy source such as, but not limited to marine hydrokinetic energy provided by wave, tidal, or marine current electric generators and/or offshore wind turbines. Alternatively, an onshore electric power grid supplies a portion or all of the electric power by submarine cable to the vessel. The computer servers housed within the vessel are cooled by heat exchangers drawing from cool ocean water, and continue to operate irrespective of weather and sea conditions on the surface.

The temperature control system includes: a refrigerant drum in which vapor and a liquid refrigerant are stored in a vapor-liquid equilibrium state; a heat removing section arranged in the reactor to evaporate a part of the liquid refrigerant supplied from the refrigerant drum by the reaction heat; a Return line that returns mixed phase fluid of vapor and the liquid refrigerant generated in the heat removing section to the refrigerant drum; a Vapor outlet line that supplies vapor in the refrigerant drum to outside of the system; and a Replenishing line that supplies makeup water in an amount matched with an amount of vapor discharged to the outside of the system, to the Return line.

摘要: An energy transfer system is provided for a household or commercial refrigeration appliance. The energy transfer system includes a fluid passage disposed in the housing of the appliance for enabling the transfer of a fluid into, through, and out of the housing. The fluid is circulated through a heat exchanger which can be disposed outside of a home or commercial building or underground so that the fluid is cooled by the outside air or by the ground. The fluid may also be groundwater that is circulated throughout the system in a semi-open loop arrangement. The cooling fluid is also utilized to cool the compressor of an air conditioning unit. A heat exchanger is also utilized for transferring heat from the cooling fluid to an interior of a building.
