The method includes the steps of opening a first network to the plurality of robot controllers, by setting, in each of the plurality of robot controllers, conditions, including addresses, required for opening the first network; designating an address range prepared in the first network for robot controllers to which a second network is opened and which is selected from among the plurality of robot controllers; and opening the second network to the robot controllers addressed within the address range designated in the first network, by setting, through the first network, conditions required for opening the second network.

    摘要: A plant control system includes a process computer (1) managing a plant, a PLC (2) interposed between the process computer (1) and equipment (3) of the plant, and a general-purpose PC (7) executing arithmetic processing based on arithmetic data received from the PLC (2) and transmitting arithmetic result data thereof to the PLC (2). The functions are divided such that sequential control logic is executed by the PLC (2) and complicated arithmetic processing is executed by the general-purpose PC (7), and the arithmetic result data outputted from the general-purpose PC (7) always passes through the PLC (2) so that consistency of the arithmetic result data is checked in the PLC (2). This makes it possible to apply a general-purpose personal computer (general-purpose PC) to the plant control system so as to divide the functions between the programmable logic controller (PLC) and the general-purpose PC and to compensate the reliability of the general-purpose PC in an industrial application, for example, in terms of punctuality.

Decentralized storage and multi-access paths provide complete sets of data without dependence on a specific or pre-defined data source or access paths. Data is characterized as data resources with disparate granularity. The control system includes a plurality of layers that act as logic units communicatively coupled through access network(s). Server(s) resides in a service layer, whereas client(s) associated with respective visualization terminal(s) are part of a visualization layer. Peer-to-peer distribution of data resource(s) can be based on available access network(s) resources and optimization of response time(s) in the control system. When client requests a data resource, all the locations of the data resource and the quickest source to retrieve it are automatically determined. The client stores copy of data resource. Peer-to-peer distribution of data resource(s) can be implemented within the service layer or the visualization layer.
