There is provided a touch panel capable of obtaining a stable connection resistance without requiring fitting accuracy at the time of the connection to an external terminal, and a protective panel for a display window of an electronic device using the same. The analog type touch panel includes a touch side substrate 2 and a non-touch side substrate 3 each having resistive films 2a, 3a provided on opposed inner surfaces thereof. Through-holes 4a, 4b, 4c, 4d formed at the periphery of the non-touch side substrate 3. A connecting part 5 for electrically connecting electrodes of the resistive films 2a, 3a to an external terminal, in which a conductive paste is injected into the through-holes and a rivet 14 is inserted into each of the through-holes from the lower surface side so that a head of the rivet 14 forms flat connecting electrodes 15a, 15b for connection to the external terminal on the lower surface of the non-touch side substrate 3.

It is an object to provide a push-button switch member (1), by utilizing light energy with out any loss for back-lightening on a display section, capable of realizing the back-lightening to the display section with even luminance while suppressing power consumption and having high visibility and thin thickness, the push-button switch member comprising a key-top portion (3) and a cover base member provided with the key top portion at a predetermined portion thereof and adapted to be mounted to the circuit board (5), the key-top portion (3) being provided with a display section (2) displaying a switching function and an area emitter (4) integrally formed with the display section, wherein the area emitter member (4) is provided with a light emitting layer (13) disposed between a base electrode (14), and a transparent electrode (10) disposed so as to oppose to the base electrode (14) and the transparent electrode (10) arranged to be contacted to the display section (2) is formed of a transparent conductive polymer.

A thin and light member (1) for push button switch having high visibility in which illumination of uniform luminance can be realized at a display section while suppressing power consumption by using optical energy effectively for illumination at the display section. The member (1) for push button switch comprises a key top section (3), a cover basic material being fixed onto a circuit board (5) while arranging the key top section (3) at a specified position, and a surface light emitter (4) integral with a switch function display section (2) disposed at the key top section (3). The surface light emitter (4) has an emission layer (13) formed between a base electrode (14) and a transparent electrode (10) facing the base electrode (14), wherein the transparent electrode (10) disposed contiguously to the display section (2) is made of a transparent conductive polymer.
