Abstract:
A twisted pair communications device and associated twisted pair communications system are disclosed. One twisted pair communications device includes a plurality of twisted pair connectors each associated with a different twisted pair communication channel, and a multi-channel connector communicatively connected to each of the plurality of twisted pair connectors. The multi-channel connector is configured to transmit and receive communication signals associated with each of the twisted pair communication channels on a multi-channel twisted pair cable and includes a plurality of wire pairs disposed in a plurality of rows within the connector. Fewer than all of the plurality of wire pairs are communicatively connected to twisted pair connectors, and wherein unassociated wire pairs in the multi-channel connector separate at least two groups of wire pairs associated with different twisted pair communication channels.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a fitting base (1) of a plug (2) comprising: a supporting element (11) comprising at least one opening suitable for receiving at least one connector of the plug (2), a first stationary portion (12) projecting from the supporting element (11), a first movable portion (13) secured to the first stationary portion (12), said movable portion (13) having a shape and dimensions suitable for the insertion thereof into a first cavity (21) in the plug (2) when the at least one connector of the plug (2) is fitted in the at least one opening in the supporting element (11). The invention also relates to a plug (2) and to a locking system (3).
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a simple and robust signal outlet for providing a wireless network, the signal outlet comprising an input/output terminal adapted to receive an input signal comprising first signal being superimposed into a second signal, a wireless communication unit adapted to provide a local wireless network in a vicinity of the signal outlet, and a power supply unit being adapted to generate power from an input signal being provided on the input/output terminal. The signal outlet may be implemented as a wall mountable signal outlet having standard dimensions. The present invention also relates to an intelligent signal outlet.
Abstract:
The present disclosure provides for electrical connectors or jack assemblies/housings for use in voice/data communication systems. More particularly, the present disclosure provides for modular jack assemblies that include a movable locking member. The present disclosure provides for improved systems/designs for jack assemblies/housings that are easily secured and/or unsecured to or from a jack panel or jack faceplate. In exemplary embodiments, the present disclosure provides for convenient, low-cost and effective systems and methods for easily securing and/or unsecuring jack assemblies/housings to or from a jack panel/faceplate (e.g., in the field) by utilizing advantageous modular jack assemblies that include a movable locking member, and related assemblies.
Abstract:
An RJ-45 insertion and extraction tool is disclosed that allows a user to plug and unplug an RJ-45 connector from an RJ-45 socket in a quick and easy way that does not disturb other cables plugged into adjacent sockets.
Abstract:
An electrical connector arrangement includes a storage device coupled to a connector housing. The storage device is configured to store physical layer information pertaining to the electrical connector arrangement. The storage device also has contacts that enable the physical layer information to be read from the storage device by a media reading interface. A connector assembly includes at least one receptacle assembly; a printed circuit board; and a media reading interface.
Abstract:
A telecommunications plug includes a housing having an insertion portion sized to be received in a telecommunications jack, and a circuit board at least partially disposed within the housing. The circuit board includes a plurality of contacts exposed through the insertion portion to electrically connect to contact springs of the telecommunications jack and a plurality of wire connections receiving wires of a telecommunications cable. The plug further includes a switching mechanism movable relative to the circuit board and configured to switch between first and second positions, wherein the first and second positions selectably provide capacitive crosstalk between wire pairs within the plug.
