    摘要: A system for managing house appliances supplied through a power grid is provided. Each house appliance operates according to at least one corresponding operative mode. Each operative mode comprises a sequence of operative phases. The system comprises at least one control unit interfaced with the house appliances for exchanging data. The at least one control unit collects power profile data comprising timing and electric power consumption data of each operative phase of each operative mode of the house appliances; generates a time schedule of the house appliances operations by distributing in time the execution of the operative phases thereof such that total power consumption of house appliances is kept under a maximum power threshold of the power grid; and controls the operation of the appliances based on the time schedule. The at least one control unit is configured to generate the time schedule by exploiting a Particle Swarm Optimization approach.

    摘要: Status of complex system functions (302) is diagnosed and reported by analyzing traffic on a data network (312) of the complex system (304). The network traffic may be placed on the data network by systems (308) that perform functions for the complex system. A user may make a view selection via a remote user interface (502). The view selection identifies rules for determining a status of a selected subset of the functions or a status of selected ones of the functions for a selected state of operation, such as during initial power-up. The status of the functions may be determined from the network traffic using the rules and presented to the user via the user interface. The user may interact with the presentation to make different view selections. Multiple different view selections made via multiple different user interfaces may be supported simultaneously.

    摘要: A node within a wireless mesh network is configured to record a zero crossing of alternating current or alternating voltage drawn by a single-phase power consumer and a precise timestamp when the zero crossing occurred, thereby generating timestamped zero crossing data. The node receives similar zero crossing data from a neighboring node. The node then compares the timestamped zero crossing data with the received zero crossing data to determine whether the phase associated with the node is equivalent to, leads, or lags the phase associated with the neighboring node. The node then acquires a positive phase identification associated with the neighboring node. Based on the phase identification, and based on the phase difference between the two nodes, the node infers the phase associated with the single-phase power consumer. That phase indicates the specific power line within a three-phase power distribution network to which the single-phase power consumer is coupled.
