A flame resistant hose assembly is disclosed. The hose assembly comprises a tubular inner layer and a flame resistant layer. The tubular inner layer has an interior radial surface and an exterior radial surface and defines a longitudinal axis. The flame resistant layer is disposed about and covers the exterior radial surface of the tubular inner layer. The flame resistant layer is formed N from a flame resistant material comprising a polymeric binder and expandable graphite in an amount of from about 5 to about 40 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of the flame resistant material. The flame resistant layer expands when heated to a temperature of about 220° C. or greater and maintains a post-expansion coverage of the exterior radial surface of the tubular inner layer of greater than about 95%.

A bulletproof panel of the present invention includes: (i) a ceramic plate A; (ii) at least one phenol resin impregnated aramid fabric laminate C having phenol resin impregnated aramid fabrics C1, C2 and C3 which are laminated thereon; and (iii) an epoxy resin impregnated fabric B disposed between the ceramic plate A and the phenol resin impregnated aramid fabric laminate C, and impregnated with an epoxy resin. The phenol resin impregnated aramid fabrics C1, C2 and C3 may be aramid fabrics impregnated with a phenol resin, and aramid fabrics impregnated with a phenol/polyvinyl butyral mixture resin. In the present invention, since the epoxy resin impregnated fabric B is disposed between the ceramic plate A and the phenol resin impregnated aramid fabric laminate C to increase the adhesive strength therebetween, the ceramic plate A and the phenol resin impregnated aramid fabric laminate C are not delaminated from each other even under a high-temperature environment, and thereby greatly enhancing the bulletproof performance. Further, there is no need to insert thermoplastic adhesive films between the phenol resin impregnated aramid fabrics C1, C2 and C3 like in the prior art, and thereby greatly improving the workability.

A process for fabricating a three-dimensional, multi-layered fabric product with a moisture barrier is provided. A partially seamed inner lining fabric assembly having at least a two-dimensional shape is laminated with a membrane barrier film having flaps left un-laminated to cover at least one seam. The inner lining fabric assembly is further seamed and flaps of the of the membrane barrier film overlapped into contact with each other and sealed to provide a continuous moisture barrier. A process for fabricating a stretchable section of a garment with a moisture barrier is also provided. At least a section of a garment is formed from fibers arranged in a pattern having a direction of stretch in one direction and a three-dimensional surface texture such that a portion of the fibers protrude above another portion of the fibers. The stretchable section is stretched in the direction of stretch. Segments of a membrane barrier film are adhered to an outer edge of the protruding portion of the fibers while the section is stretched in the direction of stretch, leaving intermediate segments of the barrier film free from adherence to the section. In this way, the intermediate segments of the membrane barrier film include slack that folds up to form ruches when the section is in a relaxed state.
