摘要: The present disclosure generally relates to adhesive compositions, adhesive articles including the adhesive compositions, methods of making the adhesive compositions and articles, and methods of using the adhesive compositions and articles. The adhesive compositions of the present disclosure include a thermoplastic phenolic resin made from the reaction of (1) alkyl phenol (e.g., butyl- or octyl- or -nonyl) and formaldehyde; or (2) alkyl phenol (e.g.,butyl- or octyl-) and acetaldehyde; or (3) alkyl phenol (e.g., butyl- or octyl-) and acetylene. The present disclosure also generally relates to adhesive articles including these adhesive compositions. The inventors of the present disclosure found that such adhesive articles exhibit excellent adhesion to architectural coatings with including low or no VOCs, deep base formulations, and/or formulations including primer in various conditions, including, for example, high humidity.

摘要: Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Holzverbundwerkstoffen, enthaltend die Schritte:
- Bereitstellen eines thermisch härtbaren Harzes, indem man eine polykondensationsfähige phenolische Verbindung und/oder einen Aminoplastbildner mit 5-Hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF) unter zur Bildung von Polykondensationsprodukten führenden Bedingungen umsetzt,
- Inkontaktbringen des Harzes mit lignocellulosehaltigem Material, und
- Aushärten des Harzes unter Bildung des Holzverbundwerkstoffs.
Das Verfahren zeichnet sich dadurch aus, dass das 5-Hydroxymethylfurfural mindestens ein HMF-Oligomer umfasst. Die Erfindung betrifft ferner die durch das Verfahren erhältlichen Holzverbundwerkstoffe.-

摘要: There is now provided a variety of curable polyester resins that cure well with phenolic crosslinking agents. The curable polyester resins include polyester resins that have both carboxyl and hydroxyl functionalities and a high ratio of carboxyl functionalities to hydroxyl functionalities; unsaturated curable polyester having residues of an α,β-unsaturated polycarboxylic acid compound with at least one unsaturation in a position that is α,β relative to a carbonyl group and not located on an aromatic ring; and a curable polyester resin containing beta-ketoacetate moieties without vinyl unsaturation. The curable polyester resin can be dispersed in water or dissolved in a solvent and is suitable for waterborne or solventborne coating compositions. Phenolic based crosslinking coating compositions that contain these curable polyester resins cure well with phenolic resin crosslinking compounds with a wide variety of reactive curable polyester resins or other kinds of polyester resins.
