    摘要: A board edge connector 1 to which a board 3 is inserted along an oblique direction relative to its fixed posture includes a main body 10, a plurality of contacts 11 arranged in juxtaposition on the main body 10 along a direction perpendicular to an insertion direction of the board 3, and a cover member 20 covering the main body 10. The main body 10 includes a base portion 12 on which the multiple contacts 11 are juxtaposed and a pair of arm portions 13 extending from the base portion 12 along opposed lateral edges of the board 3 which assumes a fixed posture. The contacts 11 include contact portions 11a projecting from the upper face of the main body 10 and the cover member 20 includes an attaching portion 21 covering the base portion 12 and a pair of arm members 22 covering lateral faces of the pair of arm portions 13. The attaching portion 21 has a first board mounting terminal 23 extending laterally to be fixed to the mount board, the first board mounting terminal 23 being provided more downstream in the insertion direction of the board 3 than the contact portions 11a.

    摘要: Disclosed is a card edge connector (10) having mirror image latches (31, 32) which are integrally molded into the housing and which have horizontal latch manipulation platform members (42) which extend outwardly from their body section. A stopper member (60) is positioned outwardly from the latches to prevent overstressing when the latches are deflected. The horizontal latch manipulation has a central major slot (56) and a peripheral secondary slot (58) which are vertically aligned respectively with a vertical slot (70) between the latch body and the stopper member and the top surface of the stopper member to allow for relatively easy molding of the latch. A separately molded finger engagement portion (72) may be inserted into the central principal slot which the stopper member is received by the secondary slot when the latch is flexed. The finger engagement portion may advantageously be of a different color from the housing to make it easier to locate.
