摘要:
An adamantane derivative having a functional group such as nitro, amino, hydroxyl, carboxyl, hydroxymethyl or isocyanato is oxidized with oxygen in the presence of an imide compound of general formula (2) (such as N-hydroxyphthalimide) or both of this imide compound and a cocatalyst (such as a transition metal compound). This process can efficiently provide an adamantane derivative having a hydroxyl group in addition to the functional group such as nitro, amino, hydroxyl, carboxyl, hydroxymethyl or isocyanato; wherein R?1 and R2¿ each represent hydrogen, halogen, alkyl, aryl or cycloalkyl, or R?1 and R2¿ may be bonded together to form a double bond, or an aromatic or non-aromatic ring; Y represents O or OH; and n represents 1 to 3.

The invention relates to an inorganic ion exchange adsorbent for removing toxic trace elements from water, comprising a sorbent comprising sol-gel generated double hydrous oxide of metal. In particular, for the metal a M 2+ and M 3+ (or M 4+ ) metal is selected, preferably a metal from the group consisting of Al, Fe(III), Cr(III), Zr(IV), Fe(II), Zn, Mg, Mn(II), Co, Ni is selected. The invention further relates to a method of manufacturing an inorganic ion exchange adsorbent and a method of purifying water.

摘要:
Method of making an ion exchange material in which a ceramic material is ion-implanted with sulfur, carbon, phosphorus, or nitrogen, which is oxidized to sulfate, carboxylate or carbonate, phosphate, or nitrate, respectively, or the nitrogen is reduced to amine or amide. Alternatively, a mixture of ceramic powder and a binder containing sulfur, carbon, phosphorus or nitrogen is heated in a non-oxidizing atmosphere to a temperature up to 1000°C. The sulfur is then oxidized to sulfate, the carbon to carboxylate or carbonate, phosphorus to phosphate, and nitrogen to nitrate, or the nitrogen is reduced to amine or amide. Also a method of treating acidic aqueous solutions containing dissolved radioactive materials by passing them through an ion exchange column containing the ion exchange material made by the afore-mentioned methods.
