The present invention provides an ester compound which can be used as the additive of the lubricating oil or the base oil of the lubricating oil, and a process for preparing the same and use thereof. The ester compounds of the present invention have excellent viscosity-temperature properties and low-temperature properties and can be used as the base oil of the lubricating oil. In addition, the ester compounds of the present invention, have excellent viscosity-temperature properties and low-temperature properties as the viscosity index improver, can significantly reduce the wear scar diameter of the base oil as the anti-wear agent, can significantly reduce the friction coefficient of the base oil as the friction modifier, and exhibits excellent anti-wear and anti-friction properties.

The present invention relates to a process for heavy alkylate based less toxic metalworking fluid composition comprising heavy alkyl benzene, one emulsifier which is a sodium oleate, sulfonate or mixtures thereof, a vegetable oil as lubricity booster, an antioxidant, a fungicide, an extreme pressure additive, an antirust, a co-surfactant, a coupling agent and alkali component. The process comprises removing of insoluble matter from the heave alkylate, addition of emulsifier, additives, coupling agent and co-surfactant, homogenizing the mixture at 20 - 120°C, followed by conditioning of the metal working fluid concentrate which can be used as emulsion in water.

Provided is a brake fluid composition having improved long-term metallic and high-temperature corrosion inhibition. The brake fluid composition according to the present invention significantly improves long-term durability by being a superior anti-corrosive as well as having a reduced weight variation on a test piece, and has a superior high-temperature corrosion inhibition while having negligible effects on the equilibrium reflux boiling point and the wet equilibrium reflux boiling point.
