    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent occurrence of transient knocking caused by variable timing by controlling various kinds of means which suppress knocking according to variation rates of valve timing. CONSTITUTION:A valve timing control device 102 controls an opening/closing timing of an intake valve 106 of an engine 105 according to an operation condition by the use of a variable valve timing device 101. Variation degree of the opening/closing timing of the intake valve 106 is detected by means of a valve timing variation degree detecting means 103. Knocking suppression control is executed according to the detected variation degree. Namely, when the closing timing of the intake valve 106 is abruptly advanced in angle, an actual compression ratio is increased by the above-mentioned control, and transient knocking generation caused by advancement of the compression starting timing is suppressed. When the opening timing of the intake valve 106 is abruptly advanced in angle, valve overlapping is increased by the above-mentioned control, and transient knocking generation caused by intake temperature rise is suppressed.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the drive feeling by a drive by changing the output characteristic from a drive power apparatus. SOLUTION: Torque maps, indicating relations between output from an engine 30 and output from a motor are stored in a plurality of ROMs 64, the torque map is selected based on the operation of a mode selection switch 74 by a driver, and the output from the engine 30 and an output from the motor 40 are set based on the selected torque map, pedal depression on the accelerator pedal and the number of rotations of drive shaft 54 in order to control the engine 30 and motor 40. When a dashboard which switch 76 is turned on, the motor 40 is driven with an output which exceeds the rated output only within a short-period of time to provide an output exceeding the output that is preset with the selected torque map. The drive feeling by a driver can be improved by selecting the desired torque map and operating the dashboard switch 76.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine stopping control device of a hybride vehicle capable of smoothly and quickly stopping an internal combustion engine by restraining vibration by reducing a fluctuation in friction at stopping control time of the internal combustion engine with the easy constitution regardless of a form of the internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: An HVECU 32 confirms that an engine speed of an engine 12 becomes a prescribed value or less at stopping control time of the engine 12 on the basis of information from an engine ECU 28 and a magnetic sensor 34, and then recognizes whether or not a piston in a cylinder of the engine 12 is positioned in the vicinity of the upper dead center on the basis of information from the magnetic sensor 34 to control a counter torque controlled variable of an MG 14 to the reducing side just before passing through the upper dead center of the piston as well as to control the counter torque controlled variable of the MG 14 to the increasing side just after passing through the upper dead center to offset a fluctuation in the engine friction to prevent the vibration of the engine 12.

At this time, a motor MG2 is controlled so as to cancel the start torque outputted to a ring gear connected to the driving shaft. After start, the air-fuel ratio is set as a stoichiometric value, the throttle valve opening, the timing advance, and the intake valve timing are gradually increased toward an optimal value, the output torque from the engine is set as a target torque Te*, and also the sum of torque outputted from the engine to the ring gear is set as a target torque Tr* by controlling the motor MG2.
