    摘要: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an antitumor agent by separating a glucomannan having a mannose chain of β-1, 2 bonds as its primary chain from an Agaricus blazei mushroom culture. SOLUTION: A mecelia is grown by inoculating an Agaricus blazei mushroom spawn to a liquid culture medium for basidiomycetes and shake-culturing it in an aerobic condition at 30 deg.C for 14 days. The mecelia is obtained by centrifugalizing the culture system. A extractive liquid is obtained by adding water 10 times as much to the mecelia and carrying out a hot water extraction under boiling for 2 hr. After the extractive liquid is vacuum-concentrated to 1/10, a supernatant liquid is obtained by centrifugation. The equal amount of 99% ethylalcohol is added to the supernatant liquid to precipitate polysaccharides. The precipitate is obtained by centrifugation and freeze-dried. The freeze-dried material is subjected to further treatments such as salt-out, separation, elution and the like to give a glucomannan having a mannose chain of β-1, 2 bonds as its primary chain of the formula (wherein Glc is a glucose residual group; and Man is a mannose residual group). This glucomannan exhibits a strong antitumor action.

    摘要: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject agent by including a complex ingredient contained in a culture mycelium or a culture filtrate of Agaricus blazei Murr. as an active ingredient therein. SOLUTION: This agent contains a water-soluble complex ingredient contained in a culture mycelium or a culture filtrate of Kawariharatake (Agaricus blazei Murr.) which is mushroom of the genus Agaricus, commonly named Himematsutake. The complex ingredient contained in the culture mycelium obtained by carrying out the extraction treatment of the culture mycelium of the Himematsutake with hot water, then precipitating the extract with an alcohol and purifying the precipitated substance by chromatographic fractionation and/or separation with a membrane. The complex ingredient contained in the culture filtrate is prepared by performing the precipitating treatment of the culture filtrate of the Himamatsutake with the alcohol and then purifying the resultant precipitated substance by the chromatographic fractionation and/or separation with the membrane. The water-soluble complex ingredient has actions on remarkable reduction in AIDS symptoms by orally administering the ingredient to patients suffering from the AIDS and has no problem in acute and subacute toxicities.

    摘要: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and efficiently extract the pharmaceutically effective ingredient of a mushroom as an ingredient capable of being easily absorbed by human bodies by adding Impatience balsanina L. to the mushroom and subsequently extracting the mixture with a alcohol-containing aqueous solution. SOLUTION: This method for extracting the pharmaceutically effective ingredient of a mushroom comprises adding 0.1-2 pts.wt. of the whole plant of Impatience balsanina L. to 2-5 pts.wt. of a mushroom (e.g. Lentinus edodes), immersing the mixture in 10 pts.wt. of a >=10 degree alcohol-containing aqueous solution [e.g. white liquor (low class distilled spirit)] for two weeks to a half year, and subsequently filtering off the residues. The method also comprises immersing the mushroom in the alcohol extract of the Impatience balsanina L. for two weeks to a half year, and subsequently filtering off the residues. The alcohol extract of the Impatience balsanina L. is obtained by immersing 2-5 pts.wt. of the whole plant of the Impatience balsanina L. in 10 pts.wt. of a >=10 degree alcohol-containing aqueous solution (e.g. the white liquor) for two weeks to a half year and subsequently filtering off the residues. The whole plant of the Impatience balsanina L. is obtained by collecting the plants in its flowering time and, if necessary, subsequently drying the collected plants in the shade.
