Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce shocks, when torque is increased according to the demand of acceleration. SOLUTION: A controller for hybrid vehicle has a motor generator put between an engine and a wheel, and a torque converter put between the motor generator and the wheel. The controller includes an acceleration demand deciding means (step 102) for deciding the demand for acceleration, a possible or impossible deciding means (step 103) for deciding whether an increases in torque to be transmitted to a wheel in accordance with the demand of acceleration can be generated under the control of the motor generator nor not, and a torque control means (step 104 and 107) for changing the control contents of the motor generator, the torque converter or an automatic transmission for increasing the torque according to the demand of acceleration on the basis of the decided result of the possible or not possible deciding means.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve acceleration response at the time of downshift of a variable-speed drive. SOLUTION: This control equipment provided with an engine and a motor generator, a torque combination distribution mechanism which is connected with the engine and the motor generator and amplifies and outputs the torque outputted from the engine by controlling the torque outputted form the motor generator, and a variable-speed drive which accelerates and decelerates the torque inputted from the torque combination and distribution mechanism. In this control equipment for a hybrid vehicle, a variable-speed demand detecting means (step 2) for detecting downshift of the variable-speed drive, an acceleration response demand detecting means (steps 1, 2) for detecting a demand to increase acceleration response, and a motor control means (steps 4, 8, 10, 11, 12) which outputs a torque from the motor generator during the shiftdown of the variable-speed drive, when a downshift demand and the demand to increase acceleration response are detected are installed.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power limiting device capable of improving the service life and the recovery efficiency of a battery. SOLUTION: This is an electric power limiting device for a vehicle provided with a storage battery. The electric power outputted from the storage battery generates a drive force for running and kinetic energy from running is converted into electric power at braking and stored in the storage battery. This device is provided with a means, which calculates the electric power (step 2) in accordance with the rpm and required torque of a motor or a generator connected with the storage battery, a means (steps 4, 5) which when the calculated electric power exceeds the critical value in the storage battery, calculate the torque of the motor or generator which is capable of compensating the energy loss, at least in the motor or generator based on the critical value and rpm, and a means (step 6) which limits the torque of the motor or generator to the torque so calculated.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid the charge/discharge of storage means caused by excessive power concerning a motive force output device which is provided with the charging/discharging enabled storage means, performs the torque transformation of motive force outputted from a motor to desired motive force and outputs it to a driving shaft. SOLUTION: The motive force outputted from an engine 50 is torque- transformed to the desired motive force and outputted to a driving shaft 22 by a clutch motor 30 and an assist motor 40 connected to a crank shaft 56 and the driving shaft 22. At such a time, the excess/lack of power to be recovered or consumed by both the motors 30 and 40 is compensated by charging/discharging a battery 94. When the excess/lack of power exceeds an allowable range for charging/discharging the battery 94, the torquecommand value of assist motor 40 is reset so as to settle it within the allowable range. As a result, the power for charging/discharging the battery 94 can be settled within the allowable range without affecting the operation of engine 50.

When the pressure of an electrolyte in the battery 10 drops, output torque from a current motor is lowered, thus inhibiting the power consumption of the battery.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To shorten the regulating time of a motor magnetic flux until a target torque is obtained by applying a correcting motor magnetic flux larger than the optimum motor magnetic flux when the motor magnetic flux is transiently regulated at an output torque increasing time. CONSTITUTION:A torque calculator 12 outputs a target torque T* in response to a travel command and traveling conditions. The torque T* is converted by an efficiency optimizing circuit 14 together with a motor frequency fm into an optimum motor magnetic flux phi* and optimum torque current I*T for minimizing a general motor loss. It instructs larger motor magnetic flux phi*n than the magnetic flux phi* at transient regulating time until the motor magnetic flux rises to the optimum motor magnetic flux. A correcting motor magnetic flux phi*n and the current I*T are supplied to a vector calculator 16, the output of which is supplied through a PWM controller 18 to an inverter main circuit 20.
