Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sintered alloy which has superior corrosion resistance and can assure dimensional accuracy of the product. SOLUTION: This manufacturing method comprises compacting and sintering (S2) a base powder containing copper into a main body of the sintered alloy, plating (S4) the main body with tin, and sizing it (S5). At the sizing step, the tin plated layer is compressed to form the thickness approximately uniform, and simultaneously the pores which open to the outer surface of the main body are blocked with the tin plated layer. Moreover, combining a copper-base sintered alloy with tin plating gives the sintered alloy corrosion resistances both to sulfur and compounds thereof, and to organic acids such as formic acid and acetic acid. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothen the slide between a brush and a commutator, and to lower the brush noise by including the material for generating chemical species to be adsorbed to graphite in an electric brush, which is mainly composed of graphite, copper powder and binder. SOLUTION: As a material for generating a chemical species to be adsorbed to graphite, phenol resin and magnesium hydroxide are desirable. Phenol resin is used as a binder, and the phenol resin exists in the electric brush at 5-50wt% in relation to graphite at 100wt%. Magnesium hydroxide having mean granular diameter at 0.1 100μm is desirably used, and it desirably exists at 0.1-10wt%. Gas is generated from phenol resin and water is generated from magnesium hydroxide by the heating due to the sliding between the electric brush and the commutator. These gas and water work as adsorption water molecular, and they are adsorbed to active carbon atom in an end surface of the graphite so as to make the connection hard between the brush and the commutator.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic clutch having improved transmission torque by means of a low-cost method, and a method for manufacturing the clutch.SOLUTION: An electromagnetic clutch (10) includes an electromagnetic coil (18), a rotor (16) that is rotary driven by an external drive source, an armature (12) attracted to the rotor (16) by magnetic force of the electromagnetic coil (18), and a hub structure (11); and the clutch transmits or shuts off power by exciting the electromagnetic coil (18) to attract the friction surface (12a) of the armature (12) to the friction surface (16a) of the rotor (16) and by demagnetizing the electromagnetic coil (18) to separate the armature (12) from the rotor (16). The friction surface (16a) of the rotor (16) and/or the friction surface (12a) of the armature (12) have a rugged surface formed thereon having surface roughness Rz of 10 μm or more and hardness of 4 GPa or less.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing having an excellent service life not only to fuel mixed with sulfur or compounds thereof but also to fuel mixed with organic acid such as formic acid and acetic acid. SOLUTION: The bearing 5 is composed of a Cu based sintered alloy 51 provided with extremely excellent corrosion resistance to fuel mixed with sulfur or compounds thereof. The outer face of the sintered alloy 51 is provided with tetrafluoroethylene resin layer 53. By covering the bearing made of a Cu based sintered alloy with the tetrafluoroethylene resin layer 53, the bearing 5 having high corrosion resistance can be obtained. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent increase of electric resistance of a lead-wire-attached part and a brush, in a lead-less copper graphite brush. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress contact potential drop with a ring while enhancing durability by adding an additive having Mohs hardness in a specified range to a carbon brush. SOLUTION: A carbon brush sliding on a slip ring or a commutator principally comprising copper is formed by adding an additive having Mohs hardness in the range of 4-5 to a principal component of graphite. Preferably, potassium titanate, calcium fluoride, zinc oxide or barium fluoride is employed as the additive. Furthermore, whisker is preferably employed as the additive and potassium titanate whisker is employed more preferably. Content of such an additive is preferably set in the range of 0.05-5wt.% because the contact voltage drop increases significantly as shown in the Fig. while accelerating abrasion of the carbon brush and the ring when the content exceeds 5wt.%. According to the arrangement, the contact voltage drop can be suppressed while reducing abrasion of the carbon brush and the ring.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To add 5 to 30 wt.% of a fibriform potassium titanate or montmorillonite to a carbon brush so as to solve the problems of the unevenness and abrasion of the surface of a commutator due to commutation sparks, between the carbon and the commutator of a fuel ejection pump. SOLUTION: An abrasive having lower rigidity, which consists at least either a montmorillonite having an average second particle diameter of 0.1 to 1 μm of the brush, comprising mainly of carbon or of potassium titanate, having an average value of a fiber width of 0.2 to 0.6 μm, is added to the carbon brush, causing the surface of the commutator to be smoothed; while slightly suppressing the abrasion effect on the carbon commutator, thereby suppressing the occurrence of the commutation sparks. Accordingly, durability of the fuel ejection pump commutator is increased. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
