    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of cracks and to improve the effect in reducing beat sounds by mixing a carboxylic acid represented by a specific structural formula, multivalent alcohol and a polymetric monopolymer. CONSTITUTION:A carboxylic acid containing an unsaturated carboxylic acid represented by structural formulasIand II as a main ingredient is reacted with multivalent alcohol to obtain an ester oligomer. This ester olygomer of 30- 80wt% is mixed with a polymetric monopolymer of 70-20wt% which is capable of copolymerizing with an ester oligomer, so as to attain a hardening resin composition used for processing a transformer. This composition has good adhesion property with component materials of the transformer and can prevent occurrence of cracks. In the formulas (n) represents two or three and (X) is an alpha,beta- unsaturated hydrocarbon group with the number of carbons being two or three.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prepare a novel copolymer having film-forming property and useful as an agent for modifying chemical resistance, adhesivity, hardness, and luster of a resin, by polymerizing an unsaturated ester with an adduct of a cyclopentadiene-type oligomer and an unsaturated carboxylic acid, etc. at a specific ratio. CONSTITUTION:The objective coplymer is prepared by copolymerizing a monomer mixture composed of (A) 95-5wt% acrylic or vinyl ester-type unsaturated ester monomer (e.g. methyl acrylate), (B) 5-95wt% half-ester adduct of a cyclopentadiene-type oligomer and an alpha,beta-unsaturated dicarboxylic acid or its ester (e.g. dihydrodicyclopentadiene monomaleate) and (C) 0-60wt% other copolymerizable ethylenic unsaturated monomer (e.g. styrene), in the presence of a radical initiator.

CONSTITUTION:A copolymer formed by copolymerizing the 1-pentene-2, 4, 5- triester tricarboxylate monomer expressed by formula I as a raw material monomer is incorporated into this contact lens. In the formula, R1 to R3 denote a hydrogen atom, 1 to 12C alkyl group, 1 to 12C alkenyl group, 3 to 12C cyclic alkyl group or aryl group, at least one group of which contain a fluorine atom; n, m and l respectively denote 0 to 4 integer. The number of the fluorine incorporated into at least one group of R1 to R3 is preferably >=3. The contact lens which has an excellent visual power correcting effect, has the oxygen permeability to allow long-term continuous wearing and has the excellent shape stability, contamination resistance and durability is obtd. in this way.
