Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain high speed recording and high density recording, in an information recording medium and an information recording method wherein information is recorded and reproduced by using light. SOLUTION: In the information recording medium, a first conductive polymer layer (an electrochromic layer) 1 containing a conductive polymer electrochromic material and a second conductive polymer layer 7 sandwich an electrolyte layer 2 and electrode layers 3 and 4 sandwich the both sides of the first and the second conductive polymer layers. Since a heat generation range at the time of recording is narrow, the information recording medium is tolerant of the deviation of automatic focusing and tracking and high speed rotation is made possible and high speed recording and high density recording are made possible. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing holographic recording media is characterized by sequentially carrying out: a recording layer forming composition applying procedure for applying a holographic recording layer forming composition on a first substrate; a gap forming procedure for leaving a prescribed gap between the first substrate and a second substrate by facing the second substrate to the surface of the first substrate on which the holographic recording layer forming composition has been applied and by press-bonding these; a bubble removing procedure for removing an air layer included in the resulting holographic recording layer held between the first and second substrates by degassing while keeping the prescribed gap; and a curing procedure for irradiating light with wavelength different from light to be used for thermal or holographic exposure after the bubble removing procedure. Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a good-looking optical recording medium of a stuck-together type in which at least a reflective layer and an adhesive layer are arranged in this order outside the periphery of a center hole on a transparent substrate having the center hole, and the adhesive layer is stuck with great strength to another substrate having the same shape as the transparent substrate or another layer having almost the same shape as the transparent substrate. SOLUTION: In the optical recording medium, the other adhesive layer is formed on the substrate between the edge part of the center hole and either the inner peripheral edge part of a region forming the reflective layer or the peripheral edge part of a region forming the adhesive layer whichever located near the center hole.
